I am an Ulverstonian supporter of both the Raiders and the Bluebirds for the past 60 years.
Until last week the Rugby were undefeated in 23 months. Quite the record.
The Soccer, not so much….
Today the Raiders pushed the mighty full-time pro’s Toronto Wolfpack down to the wire 12 -16 in the 5th Round of the Challenge Cup. A tough, hard, intense game.
Barrow were brilliant, a team to be proud of, all 17 players, every single one of them.
Thrills and excitement, start – finish.
Great value, great entertainment for £10 and £2 more for a seat.
The 1100 crowd (same as the Soccer) chant ‘BARROW, BARROW’ as loud as you like, because they appreciate a home-town team who play with passion, with heart, with energy, with belief and so much more.
The Raiders are team who play to win, and they usually do, because they never give up to the final whistle.
And the opposition know and respect that.
A road trip to Craven Park in Cumbria, is a trip to be feared. That's a fact.
Hope some of this Barrow spirit spills over to Holker St. next Saturday and into next Season.
Makes all the difference.

With only two wins this season The Raiders aren't exactly setting the Championship alight.

I do take your point, however, regarding passion, belief and fighting spirit - we need ALL in abundance - especially next Saturday!
