RETAINED / RELEASED LIST.

For all things Barrow AFC. Keep discussions civil and fair, we're all Barrow aren't we!

I wouldn't be surprised to see both Harrison and Gomis back at Sutton and Jones back at Hartlepool

We need to build the team around Makoma and he has an integral role to play next season.

This has to be a wind up!

Of course it’s a wind up.
In midfield he was dire.
As a full back he showed the occasional decent touch, but he was caught out of position far too much for comfort, and physically is out of his depth in the National League.
As it seems the intention is to retain him, and I’ll be the first to eat my beret if he comes good on a regular basis (like Moussa)

A good clear out which was needed - start from scratch almost and get players who want to be here and want to play for their shirt and show passion and desire to win - not too hard is it?
everyone is entitled to their opinion, deal with it

If Makoma was a Barrow lad, those doubters would be raving about him. He's a kid FFS - he had several very good games and some pretty poor ones. He'll be playing at a higher level than this for the majority of his career, and a solid start to next season could even bring us in some money.

When Jones played for England he was asked if he wanted to come off at half-time due to our game next day he said he'd play on that's enough for me good riddance!
Same for me, If his heart isn’t here the rest of him may as well follow him out.
Thx for your efforts DJ.
Ridiculous, he still came and played.
For a player at our level I'd be surprised if anyone can honestly say they would sack an england c call up off in place of playing a few more minutes at a poor side you've been at 1 season and are likely to be binned off for the next one.

Really surprised at the released lads. Harrison don't want to play for us anyway. Gomis will be the big loss and as for Makoma [Expletives]. Pannyato would have been a better choice. Jones will come back and haunt us.

Joel Byrom released by Mansfield. He would be a decent signing for us. Shame his wages would probably be too much.
Steve Herbert supports the nob theory - Saturday 4th February 2012.

If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.

Really? Harry looked like a shaking leaf every time he came on, the goal at Gateshead aside contributed very little this season.

Makoma has come on massively from where he was at the start of the season and he was 18-19 this season so has plenty of time to develop. For an 18 year old that came to a new country not speaking the language I'd say he's done well.

James Beret just released from Grimsby, you could eat that one!!
