Think we can attract better tbh. Left Oldham pretty quickly and Halifax also, was in charge when Hyde went down too. Had a fairish season this time around but too much of a gamble for me.Salthouse Bridge wrote: ↑Tue Jun 05, 2018 5:13 pm Darren Kelly of Hyde Utd has been mentioned as a possible manager

Stood behind Ray Wilkie for years. Best education I ever had.
Re: New Manager
Manager news on the way?
We understand @BarrowAFC are to make a decision on their new manager in the next 24-48 hours.
Ady Pennock left last month.

Re: New Manager
I’ve just got a taxi from the station and the taxi driver told me he picked a guy up yesterday and dropped him off for an interview at Holker Street and swears blind it was Harry Rednapp, told the taxi driver that his assistant was going to be Sean Wright Phillips and they were both being paid two bob a game with a win bonus of a Dominos Margarita(large stuffed crust).
Not sure if he was making it up though as I can’t see Mr Cassin stumping up for a large Margarita pizza especially with the prices they are at Dominis.

Yeah, time's certainly a-waistin' on this.
Carlisle appointed John Sheridan as manager this week and he said on the radio that he was going to have to play catch up to get the club on track for the new season. Barrow didn't 'catch up' all last season with their hastily assembled misfits producing the worst home performances in living memory.
So far it looks like we are on track to do exactly the same.

You're right, Gary, time is passing . . . . .
I can well understand the need to take the time to get it right rather than make a rushed appointment but, equally, it's frustrating to turn the page of each new day and find it's just more blank guesswork piled upon more empty speculation. We have plenty of prophets on here even if we no longer have any profits.
I reckon I'll sign off for a while, WG, but do sound the Forum Alarm if and when we finally reach page 94 and we have something truly revelatory to read about (though some do claim that page 94 should ideally never be reached as what's on there is too disturbing to disclose with regard to the club's future. I imagine only you know for sure . . . but you ain't saying.)

“It was an intentional decision to speak with them about different areas. Paul Ogden has spoken with them about their footballing brain and their networks; I've focused more on leadership capabilities, strengths and weaknesses, things like that; the other directors have picked their preferred areas of expertise – whether it be man-management or leadership or the football side of it, depending on what they are most interested in and their own strengths.”
