Re: New Manager
Only Andrew Casson could make appointing a manager more complicated than the Brexit talks.

We will be free to strike up contractual agreements with any players within the Paul Ogden Union.

Re: New Manager
Surely we find out who the new manager is today. Thought the latest announcement was for early this week.

Any bets on which will come first: announcement of new manager or statement of Government's final Brexit position?
Re: New Manager
still no news on our new manager why cant Andrew Casson keep his mouth shut and only say when something is completed not doing the club any favours at all
Re: New Manager
Has he ever? Square peg in a round hole. Completely the wrong man for the job. There by nepotism alone.

Re: New Manager
Think the club need cutting a bit of slack on this. Yes we all want a manager and backroom team in place and to start to build for next season. But it's so important to get it right this time!! The club needs some stability more than ever and to hopefully build something sustainable over the next couple of seasons. And for that to happen if it means being patient for a little while longer then I for one am more than happy to wait.

Re: New Manager
And if we wait for ages then it’s wrong (again)?
Re: New Manager
If the club can't build something sustainable over the next couple of years, then I fear the worst my friend!!

Re: New Manager
Well I suppose he has to say something every time the NWEM ring him up and ask him. And he probably knows that supporters want to know.
Saying that, he does not seem to be the greatest master of the soundbite or the written word. A simple no comment would do or if he wants to be more transatlantic something along the lines of "when there's something to say I'll say it".
He seems to be of that type that feels that something needs to be said to convey the message that a process is being pursued even when there is no visible momentum. Less is more they say. And he really should try to avoid using a phrase like "due diligence". Its an interview process not a takeover bid.
Re: New Manager
Probably in the remains of the House of Lords would be more appropriate

Re: New Manager
I can understand your sentiments Mark but it isn't us making the soundbites or moving the goalposts the irony of all this is when you want information from the club we don't get it!They really need to get their communication lines much slicker.McMark wrote: ↑Wed Jun 13, 2018 10:43 amThink the club need cutting a bit of slack on this.
