I must say- I know nothing about Ian Evatt but have spent last hour or so reading up on him. No doubt about it you can see his leadership qualities coming through in inteviews and displays equally level headed praise when he’s discussing victory and doesnt shy away from discussing performance shortcomings after a defeat. Yes he is new in management but he brings with him valuable playing experience and hopefully that will raise performance levels all round.

I think he may play as well, so looking forward to seeing whether he can get Moussa Diarra to stay and bring the best out if him next season.

Now this appointment is done, we have vast playing experience at both ends of the pitch. If Holt stays, can get fit and start scoring goals then this just might be a promising season. No one is expecting us to do anything but struggle, but I think we could have a great blend there and surprise a few. Including ourselves!

Just noticed (somewhat belatedly) an interesting parallel that Wrexham recently appointed a 36 year old ex-defender with no managerial experience, former Wolves captain Sam Ricketts.

I think we need to leave the past in the past time to put old arguments to bed and get behind the new man and the club as we take a different direction .. You have your own agenda it seems dragging out quotes when it suits.. As for agents one particular agent caused a load of shit but let's leave all that in the past where it belongs

Heard the RC interview and thought he came accross very well.
My thoughts,
Will have impressed AC at interview with desire to play attractive football as AC asked Moore to attempt the same thing. Also mentioned community work, going into schools etc.
also mentioned "saleable assets" which fits with the desire to find another Williams, Bennett etc.
I thought from AC's comments in the last few weeks that we were looking for a North-West based manager, young and from the leagues below. Evatt is young but is based in Derbyshire and will not have any knowledge of the lower non-leagues. (I guess this is where Ogden comes in)
He has his own contacts and did say he was retired, so will just be managing.
Also we have our own 36/37 year old ex-premier league player with little managerial experience on our books and weve gone and got another. If I was Holt I'd be a bit miffed. Surely it means he's is on his way then.
