I agree Jonty. I often wonder whether that term comes from the top. I see that, technically, Evatt doesn't start until 1st July although I've no doubt he's already deep into the job.

Most club's nowadays talk about a" project " it's just the modern way of trying to hype up things in real terms I could describe the task ahead but project would somewhat underplay it !

it depends where he had offers from - for example he spent his recent career at Oldham so is likely based near Manchester where we train. It may make more sense to him to keep the family home where it is rather that move for the sake of a few extra pounds - particularly as he could have kids who (given his age) could be approaching exams age - putting family first may be a good reason

Plus I suppose he might be thinking it could guarantee starting more games at this level as well given age and what have ya!.

He played 5 games last season for a relegated team, cant imagine too many clubs falling over themselves to sign him, typical pre season bigging up off mediocre signings
