Good luck to the lad. He gets a decent move and the club benefits financially.
Look forward to seeing how he progresses over the coming years.
Merci Donovan.

Worst kept secret in christendom.
Re: Donovan gone...
I think he has potential and could do well. Wonder if there is a sell-on clause.
Re: Donovan gone...
Good luck to him.
Appears to have potential and developed in confidence and understanding last season.

Re: Donovan gone...
The lad does have potential, but which game did he run the midfield according to Dino Maamria ?

Re: Donovan gone...
He wasn't a good player, infact he was awful for the most part. Minimal football ability and a shocker of a touch. The fact we have got money for him is astounding! He'll be back at this level (...or lower) before Christmas

Re: Donovan gone...
I do wonder about people sometimes.... Makoma has bags of potential and although he started slowly as a lot of players do from abroad he came on a lot later in the season and played well at full back. He's more likely to go up from Stevenage than down in the long term.trublupremier wrote: ↑Sat Jul 28, 2018 5:40 am He wasn't a good player, infact he was awful for the most part. Re: Donovan gone...
Minimal football ability? He is a fantastic passer.
At first he was too lightweight and out of position too much, but by the end of the season he was looking decent.
He is a kid! Will only get better.
But obviously people make their mind up about a player after 5 mins and that opinion can never change.

Re: Donovan gone...
I'll be amazed if he survives a season at Stevenage. Even our better players over the last couple of seasons (Anderton, Williams and Bennett) have struggled when moving into league football and this lad wasn't anywhere near as good as any of those 3.

Re: Donovan gone...
Genuinely incredible a) that he’s got a league team and b) that we got a fee for him
Re: Donovan gone...
Oh, it appears to be true.
The fee is due to his age and the fact he had been offered a new contract at BAFC.
Someone at Stevenage thinks they can see a potential that you can't. Time will tell.

Re: Donovan gone...
I hope he does really well as he seemed a good kid who, like many others, is getting unfair stick on here. Guess it’s just the norm now for some. Good business all round, especially for us. Onwards and (hopefully) upwards.

Re: Donovan gone...
Very pleased for Donovan as I thought he was a good player who got a lot of undeserved criticism at times. He really settled down in the second half of the season and I hope he does well at Stevenage.
Re: Donovan gone...
Williams, Bennett, Anderson were playing their best stuff for us. Haven’t followed them, but have any of them got better?russell_anderson wrote: ↑Sat Jul 28, 2018 11:09 am I'll be amazed if he survives a season at Stevenage. Makoma is all about his age/potential.
