Thought it was a game of two halves. We were excellent first half and the move we scored from was really good, Braintree were chasing shadows. Second half still trying to play football but seemed to lose possession much more than in the first half thus inviting pressure. Overall a performance that got the points it deserved. I also thought the ref was well above average. Would have given Taylor MOM.
Well done to the manager and players.

We sounded poor the second half but it’s the goal and three points that count.

Sorry - on today's showing I can't agree. A better side would have punished us. Promising signs but still work in progress and a long way to go.
I agree with this. It was a funny sort of game. We murdered them in the first 10, then played ok in the rest of the half. Very ordinary in the second, but I thought Braintree were a poor team - As PJD says a better side would have put us away in the second half, on today’s showing.
Overall I’m encouraged by the attitude, and when it works the ability to cut the opposition to shreds by playing the ball on the floor. Defensively I think we look a bit shaky, as I’ve said before, as a unit; individually some good performances. Noticeable that Jameson was dropped. Jones did ok, but didn’t take one long throw in......
You say jameson dropped, I see it as rested and using this with Monday in mind. Getting game time for barthram and molynuex and seeing Jones as CH.

Yes he was but I thought Smith ran him close so hard playing by himself and against a giant compared to him the lad worked his socks how different to what was happening last season!

All in all a bumpy ride today, but some of it our own making.
We should of been two clear at halftime! But saying that officials were not the best but hey ho!
Had chances second half too especially when Dan Jones should have looked along the line before his pass to Burgess. Happy to come away with the three points but we have to finish off sides or it will come back to haunt us! Ian Evatt seemed happy enough though when I spoke to him around six, and who am I to argue with the big man.😊

Yes, could be. Monday will come round very quickly, and a short time for (both) teams to recover. Interesting to see who is picked.
Have we any injuries - Waterston didn’t look too fit after the final whistle, having been subbed. I’ve always liked Barthram (even last season), though he’s a bit small. I thought Molyneux looked handy today. Still realistically hopeful for the team on showings so far.

Josh Granite should of been MoM quietly but efficiently got on with his work. Does all the basic right, continues to impress game on game.

Anyone else think the whistle from next door seemed a lot louder today. Don't know why.

Perhaps noticed it more because the tannoy system went down on the Pop side from half time onwards
