Ref was bullied and influenced by the crowd and Salford players allowed to verball abuse officials, commit fouls and get away with it.They weren’t the better team and won’t win this league.Barrow fought till the end but against 12 men it was always going to be tough.

Salford were huge compared to us. We played the ball around well at times but with little cutting edge. Molyneaux and Jones were off off the boil and Smith never got a sniff. Looked like soft penalty but I was informed by a salford fan it did it his his hand! Poor marking from the corner from Ponds goal even though we had a spare man. Little things like giving away the corner and not clearing our lines cost us today. We did ok and scored a great well worked goal. However, we couldnt really get into the game second half. Strange sub too. Needed some height up top. All in all not too disappointed. Salfords plastic fans and plastic ground are nothing to boast about. It looks ok bit like a flat pack Ikea kitchen. The 502 Barrow fans made a good noise. You know somethings not right with a club when you have metal terracing! Not sure how many women they were expecting but the portaloos were clean. Safe journey home guys.
Stood behind Ray Wilkie for years. Best education I ever had.

Re: Todays team v Salford away
First of all, absolute fantastic support as usual from ourselves. Great to see some unfamiliar faces too. I do feel we deserved to lose today, but I think 2-1 would have been a better reflection. Unfortunately we still haven’t got a grip on defending corners and we also need to mix it up when it comes to our own corners, the short ones are too predictable and rarely work. We had chances to add to our goal, but couldn’t find that end product. Coming away much more positive than I were for the majority of away games last season, despite the result. Improvements will come.
