Not trying to be negative - I applaud the efforts of the people involved.
The club's future isn't looking too rosey at the moment - on or off the pitch.
I just don't think pies are that important in the grand scheme of things.

Good for you.Nigel Bamford wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 4:40 pmLet me get this right. You'd rather money went into ASDA's coffers than the club's? I'll tell you this: whenever I drive down from Scotland without lunch I'll be heading straight to the pie bar. Well done folks. The Tomahawk Kid wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 3:59 pm
Asda's next door!
Why would any fan be in the ground at 12.00?/6pm?![]()
P.S. I'm not obese.
Regarding the club's coffers - if the club is NOT intending to bake the pies themselves surely they'll be someone other than Asda making money?
Why don't you eat before driving from Scotland? Silly to drive on an empty tummy...

Re: New bottle/pie bar.
Fans are there at those times to meet up with friends and have a good natter, that's why the club opens at those times. Put some money over the club bar. It's no different to going to the Tally Ho or other pubs early. The Tomahawk Kid wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 4:43 pmHolkerbird said FANS - I can understand volunteers being hungry.
Why would it matter to you what people eat or what time they go out? It won't be interfering with your day.

Asda don't do hot pies so stop worrying about that.

Re: New bottle/pie bar.
Why shouldn't we encourage fans to come to the club from 12 until 6 - keep them there till midnight if they can. if the club wants to be sustainable it needs to increase its match day spend per head well done.. Next they need to work on making money without having to go on the cross bar.The Tomahawk Kid wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 4:43 pmHolkerbird said FANS - I can understand volunteers being hungry.

THK must reject invitations to night do's that have pie and peas on offer.
Popular side since '03.

He has his tea before he goes... unless it’s near Asda

THK, look beyond your own anti-pie, “why not eat at home before the match” logic, and just recognise this as a positive initiative that the majority are happy to see given a go after years of no pie option at the ground.

Re: New bottle/pie bar.
I like pies, Barrow likes pies, football supporters like pies, no brainer, stop dictating to people when they can/cannot eat pies.
Re: New bottle/pie bar.

It's a positive thing, always been a pain a) the half time queue b) no food to soak up the ale c) I did hear and hope card payments at the bar d) Really nicely freshened up corporate rooms e) More places to put your pint. Alot of hard work been put in, absolute hats off to all. . There's an event on Saturday from just before 1pm, much more about that tomorrow. Hope folk will get involved too.

It's a great idea - my prediction is they will go down like hot cakes- often wondered why we don't serve pies - queues will move quicker - see more of the match- staff will be happier- customers will be happier - Barrow is officially pie capital of the north - club will take more money - happy days !!
