Apparently he can't sign for a league club until January, that is why he signed for Barrow until then.russell_anderson wrote: ↑Sat Nov 17, 2018 6:38 pmI wouldn't blame the manager too much. He's been given no money and has only been able to recruit inferior players who nobody else would want at this level. The latest signing is a good example. A player who once played at a very good level but has already been signed by 2 clubs at a lower level this season - Nuneaton Borough and Halesowen Town - and, as far as I can see, never made an appearance for either!Thenotorious wrote: ↑Sat Nov 17, 2018 5:47 pm Say what u want about cox but his side's showed grit and weren't bullied. I like evatt, nice bloke- but doesn't not seem to understand non league well. I'm very concerned about the fact we have quiet a large squad when all fit - but lack quality throughout.
We ain't going anywhere playing pretty football trying to walk it into the net.
Fingers crossed we can pick up some points over the next few games as it looks a tough ask over xmas.
We never have harmony on an off the pitch at the same time lol - now the shambles off the pitch seems to be going away - on the pitch is now the problem. But I guess that's football.

Absolute garbage, there is no way our budget is in line with most other clubs in our league, have a look at our signings, where they've come from, there's no way on earth the other northern clubs in this league, I.e salford, fylde harrogate even Gateshead would go fishing round nuneaton, guiseley Ashton united etc for their cast offsBingo wrote: ↑Sat Nov 17, 2018 7:21 pmHe's not been given no money that's nonsense I bet our budget is comparable with many others in this league.. The budget won't be covered by income that's why the club needs investors.russell_anderson wrote: ↑Sat Nov 17, 2018 6:38 pm I wouldn't blame the manager too much. I'm glad he wasn't given a bigger budget because if he had we would be facing more than a relegation battle

I would be amazed if we were not in the bottom 4 of budgets, hence i honestly think evatt has done ok with the limited quality he has

Re: BARROW V Eastleigh
Today reminded me why Joel Dixon isn’t good enough. What was he even doing for the first goal? Terrible - should never be that far out, however he wasn’t helped by the defence at all.
Then again, who was good enough today? Not looking forward to Aldershot, as another person commented on Facebook; going is more so a duty then out of want to go!

I'de blame the 2 small slow dreadful centre halfs more. Think the wind played a big part in that first goalTaylorBAFC wrote: ↑Sat Nov 17, 2018 8:58 pm Today reminded me why Joel Dixon isn’t good enough. What was he even doing for the first goal? Re: BARROW V Eastleigh
I don't and never have represented Paul Cox. It can't be that difficult to understand? The club have probably used 12 agents for various players over the cox, moore, pennock and now evatt reigns. My opinion was and still stands that under cox our teams were always well organised, got stuck in and weren't an easy touch.Moribund wrote: ↑Sat Nov 17, 2018 6:45 pm Cox's agency advocating Cox's football - there's a surprise.
Today was woeful, and although MOM announcement was ridiculous, any one of the 14 would have been a terrible shout.
Dixon reminding everyone why we thought he was shit first time around - at fault for at least one goal, and got lucky from his mistakes a couple of times.
Wanted to like Wilson but he's not impressed, and Granite was poor today. All midfielders were dreadful today, except possibly Kay, who at least looked like he was trying.
Why is Sousa still here? Struggles with every element of wing play. Turner may as well have had an extra week off, and Smith did nowt bar a couple of offsides to remind us he was on the pitch.
Of all the games this season, that one seemed like the least amount of effort was put into it. We do need changes, but it also feels like all the changes have unsettled this team. Hard to tell what can be done to get their rhythm back.
Agreed on the Wilson signing - too slow. Would be much better in a back 3. Sousa not suited to the physical aspect of national league football.
It will be interesting to see elderson when he's back.
Would love to see a change in formation next week. Possibly a 352.

Re: BARROW V Eastleigh
Shocking
Dixon distribution was awful
Centre half's poor- Wilson far too slow and past it
Brown - would of got 4 yellow cards if I was reffing.
Jones out of position and rooney should of been there
Smith too lightweight
Sousa. No better than what we have already
Poor selection today and evatt has to take the blame for that.
Like to see firth back. Taylor and rooney in midfield
Been saying for ages. We need commanding centre half's and striker.
Must be obvious from the dugout

Remember a few weeks ago when Evatt did an interview with Radio Cumbria blasting them for criticising the style of football being played. He was really annoyed by the criticism and said he wouldn't change that style!whitty1969 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 17, 2018 9:40 pm Shocking

Re: BARROW V Eastleigh
Only seen us twice this year (Chorley and today) but we just look quite limited and the system doesn't really work. Defence is poor, Brown in particular. Midfield is non-existent - none of them influence the game in any meaningful way or are available to play any kind of passing game. We're so slow and telegraphed at getting it forward to the front three, I don't know what chance they have but there's no creativity there either. Don't care where Dan Jones plays, hasn't got the bottle to justify a place.

Well, quite simple this one. If we don't change it we go down.barrowfan wrote: ↑Sat Nov 17, 2018 9:48 pmRemember a few weeks ago when Evatt did an interview with Radio Cumbria blasting them for criticising the style of football being played. Re: BARROW V Eastleigh
Yesterday was absolutely shocking.Next week is a massive game at Aldershot, but aren't they all from now on. Aldershot got hammered yesterday and are struggling so get someone up their playing off Smith or vice verca and get something out of this game. Our attempts at goal over the last couple of games have been woeful as has our defence.
