Re: Closed gate
He’s Bullshitting & Yes far from ideal & they should have announce measures before the game & posted signs etc but surely 90%+ know that every footy club gets higher attendances in the festive season and turn up earlier to avoid this...Bombadel wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 8:39 amThat's the whole point, there was no communication regarding this when the club seems very active on social media, so arriving at the same time as every other home game this season (14.45.14:50) and taking twenty minutes to get in wasn't ideal. Personally speaking, won't let a thing like this put a downer on a great game, and saying you won't attend again coz of it is spitting your dummy out a bit.

Re: Closed gate
But 99% of people don’t know that the entry rules are going to be changed without telling anybody. Well, they’ve now done what they should have done in the first place.mickmike wilson wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 2:44 pmHe’s Bullshitting & Yes far from ideal & they should have announce measures before the game & posted signs etc but surely 90%+ know that every footy club gets higher attendances in the festive season and turn up earlier to avoid this...Bombadel wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 8:39 am

Spot on!whitty1969 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 12:23 pm It's not hard is it?
Just need a dedicated turnstile for season ticket holders and prepaid tickets. No money changes hands and turnstile counts the number of people.
Board need to sort this one. We don't have many fans to lose

Re: Closed gate
Someone mentioned eventbright tickets- the club no longer use eventbright since the Cassons, left as the chairman used his phone to organise them.
As for the online pre purchased tickets it clearly states that you have the option to have them posted (at an extra cost that exceeds any saving you made) or to exchange the print out for tickets at the office prior to entry.
As for the queue at the popular side, we ended up walking around to the main stand side where the stewards said we could use the away turnstile. So there we are stood in the away end being told by the stewards at the segregation that we can't come through to the home end

Correction - it appears that eventbright is back being used, enough though it wasn't last week

Re: Closed gate
That’s not true, I used them after AC left the building, I think it was just the Halifax game and the Fylde/Salford combo ticket where they weren’t used. The rattle wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 7:57 pm Someone mentioned eventbright tickets- the club no longer use eventbright since the Cassons, left as the chairman used his phone to organise them.
That sounds like a complete shambles.“The rattle” wrote: As for the queue at the popular side, we ended up walking around to the main stand side where the stewards said we could use the away turnstile. Re: Closed gate
That's a conundrum isn't it? Supporters are kept apart for safety, Stewards are employed for safety but you are then put in an 'unsafe' position by the Stewards (i.e. let into the away end) and when you try and make yourself 'safe' they won't allow it. What if you had started chanting 'Come on Barrow' etc. in a vociferous manner? The rattle wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 7:57 pm As for the queue at the popular side, we ended up walking around to the main stand side where the stewards said we could use the away turnstile. We probably did
Re: Closed gate
Miles better this time, no expensive technology required. A lad with an iPhone scanned our eventbright tickets, well done him for volunteering.
