No loyallty, if he signs for a league club fair enough, if he moves to another non league club all about the money, we were the ones who give him a chance when he had no club

I’m pretty certain he would’ve been snapped up by any number of clubs...we just got in first.

Always looked a level above this league, can’t really blame him going elsewhere for more money or a club closer to his home.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Well, ok, a loss but not great loss. He obviously had a lot of ability, probably more than anyone in a Barrow shirt for many years, but his fitness was poor for one so talented and it was a journeyman attitude - “I intend to make money, so it’s all about me and I won’t be displaying any genuine loyalty and commitment to whoever employs me.....any problems speak to my agent”. Can’t get too fond of any player with that sort of flakey prima donna attitude. I was impressed with Evatt when he took him off at half time recently “because his head was elsewhere”.
I will miss his obvious quality on the ball on parade at Holker Street.

I enjoyed him whilst he was here and was undoubtedly a gifted individual. He made no secret he wants to play at a higher level than National League and coming to Barrow was a way of putting himself in the shop window ready for offers this month.

His free-kick at Braintree was almost as good and he created the second for Tyler Smith with a great defence splitting pass. His contribution in a number of games has been the difference between winning and not in a number of the games during our good run. Its probably no coincidence that as soon as his head went (to some extent at Fylde and obviously at Havant) that our results suffered. You just cant underestimate the value of a skilled ball player in midfield.

Kemy and BAFC have helped each other and thats as it should be. We owe each other nothing. It was a great acquisition, always likely to be temporary and I've enjoyed watching him for his ability which is still quite a bit above our level. I think its been clear to IE that this happy little interlude was coming to an end and I suspect his thoughts have been post-Kemy since the end of the year.

He deserves to find an EFL club and I hope he does but we need to bear in mind that some of our peers in the NL have more money to spend than their counterparts in League 2. Wouldn't surprise me to see him turn up at Salford, Chesterfield or Wrexham for the remainder of the season. Wouldn't surprise me if he went back abroad either. He's 32 and has a limited window to continue making a living. So good luck to him and thanks.

Nice vid (Jan 15) on his Twitter feed setting up a goal at Nuneaton for new boy Dior Angus. More of the latters' finish would be great. Just have to find a supplier.

Was a great addition to the side even for a short time. Helped us out, we helped him out.

Absolutely love the stance the club has made on this...

Kemy’s player agency touted him around on twitter before we signed him stating, “EXPERIENCED MIDFIELDER
AVAILABLE NOW—KEMY AGUSTIEN with Premier League & Championship experience, looking for a NATIONAL LEAGUE club until January 2019. @KemyAgustien been training with @BCFC 1st team since August & due to FA rules can’t join Football League club until Jan 2019”.

Then Kemy signs and tweets out, “Im excited to sign till Jan with @BarrowAFC Cause I cant sign for Any league clubs till the next window”

*ALARM BELLS RINGING*

His quality has shone through on the pitch and he’s been excellent with the fans. Despite stating again and again that he was happy and saying all the right things, Evo seemingly caught on that he wasn’t in the right frame of mind and rightly pulled him at HT away to H&W.

Since then, Kemy has gone on to do interviews with the Dutch media, saying something along the lines of how he knows he’s too good for this level. Also recalling stories how Van persie has told him he was good enough for the Dutch National side etc...Drumming up attention with some media coverage.

Then it all falls a bit quiet until his agency respond on social media. Randomly, they saw an article tweeted by NWEMail about Evatt looking to bring reinforcements in and thought it was professional to respond with, “Very important for both club and @kemyagustien to get this uncertainty sorted as soon as possible”. Very professional, I’m sure you’d agree :?:

Roll on the news today about Kemy leaving after failing to reach an agreement.

His agency retweet the news and then go on to respond to random fans of other clubs. One in particular who tweeted them with the phone number of Carlisle United. Agent responds with, “Lol they would have to contact us pal, we have had a host of clubs after him 👍 are you anything to do with the club ?”

Sounds like there aren’t a “host of clubs after him” given he asks the fan if he’s anything to do with club 😂

It doesn’t end there unfortunately. His agency seem to have another one of their clients do some dirty work for them...Jamie Insall (a player who is currently banned from playing football after he received a 2 year ban for a failed drug test). Anyway, he responds to the clubs tweet about a potential 3 home debuts with, “Another dishonest thing @BarrowAFC are doing to their loyal fans. Not being honest in saying there will be a home debut for McFarlane when the club have sent him back to @BCFC on Tuesday and terminated his loan.” The tweet itself was ‘liked’ by Kemy’s agency.

Not sure why this chap has also the private and confidential info re Kemy’s offer from Barrow but he tweets again with, “@Barrow AFC have to take the blame and not @Premier_Global for the collapse in the contract extension, where the club wanted a quality player for ZERO and should have gone all out to get the player.

Really wonder how this club can attract decent players with this vision ???”

***Again, the tweet was ‘liked’ by an account bearing the name of Kemy’s agency.

Top and bottom of it, Kemy was never going to stay was he, but the way his agency has managed everything from the get go is nothing short of shambolic and amateurish.

I genuinely hope that he finds another football club. It seems that being in this quiet corner of the world has reignited his love of the game again; and on his day, there’s no doubting his talent.

I’m happy Evatt pulled the plug. Kemy was sitting pretty training and keeping match fit whilst his agency continued to stir up everything and anything in order to get attention and instigate a more lucrative move to another club.

No player is bigger than the team.

Roll on Saturday :scarf:

What a players agent says about their client is about as reliable as what a politician says about Brexit.

Loved watching him play, and it always felt like it was a short-term deal, so not angry he's left. But I would think twice about dealing with that agency! Seen loads of stuff they've posted and it's the most amateurish approach to social media I've ever seen - it seems like they're a bunch of kids who have somehow struck up a friendship with an ex-prem player (Agustien).

Aye - no problem with an agent trying to get the best deal for their client but there are ways and means.

Farewell Kemy, I’ll miss your passing and your worn elastic band hamstrings.

Shouldn't be posting crap like that on social media but then again there's so many chancers involved in football and its trickling down to the lower divisions, all the best to Kemy though nonetheless.
