Mick Holgate
Our recent goalkeeping coach Mick Holgate has this weekend lost his battle with cancer. A perfect gentleman who will be missed by many in the world of football. His infectious enthusiasm and good humour at home games was a joy to behold, knowing you was a privilege .... RIP Mick ... SP
Re: Mick Holgate
Sorry to hear that Lightflood. As you say a Gentleman and a real sad loss.
Hopefully a fitting tribute of a minutes applause before the Bromley game.

Re: Mick Holgate
Didn’t know Mick personally but he seemed a very well liked bloke within the club.
Thoughts must go out to his family at this sad time.

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
Re: Mick Holgate
Always stopped and talked about the players for ages during games a really nice guy
Hope the club do a minutes applause b4 the game Saturday I think he deserves it

Re: Mick Holgate
Very sad news
Mick was a total gent, and a privilege to have known him.
Always had time For a chat, and spent a lot of time and effort developing the keepers for the last few seasons.
RIP Mick and our thoughts are with your family

Re: Mick Holgate
Such a shame to hear that.
A genuine lovely man who always gave time for a chat ve it at a home or away game.
Gave me lot’s of support with my commentaries when I started at Radio Cumbria and was a massive support when i suffered with depression in the middle of last year, constantly messaged me to lift my spirits despite whar he was going through, was a massive help.
A genuine top gent and will be missed
