Just in the car park please, if possible just let the girls in the reception know it’s for us and they’ll put it away until we can find somewhere for it.
Many thanks.

Re: Ground Maintenance Area
You can drop them off any time Andy, I think IRVJ is there tomorrow.
If they don’t get done before the game, people will just have to be careful what they want to use them toilets for...!
Thanks mate.

Re: Ground Maintenance Area
IRVJ is going down but he’s not sure what time, he said if you can drop them off at the reception desk he’ll pick them up when he gets there, the girls know you’ll be dropping them off.
That’ll probably be a first for the girls in there..!
I’ll sort you out on Saturday with whatever we owe you Andy.

Re: Ground Maintenance Area
There’ll be a visit to the ground this Sunday for anyone who’d like to put in a few hours. 9:00am onwards (well, till dinnertime)
Thank you to the supporter who has donated a large tin of paint for us, it’s the bits like this that keep things ticking over.
If anyone wishes to do the same, we’re short of masonry white or blue, both available from Wards

Re: Ground Maintenance Area
I took money to the game yesterday to pay capman for the two toilet seats he dropped off at the ground last week, Andy told me they were a donation off him! So as well as him and his mate giving up their time and materials last week he’s saved us more cash by donating the seats.
I was also given an envelope yesterday containing a very generous donation off Middleton Nick and his good lady, Sue.
Thank you to all three of you, the toilet seats will be put on today and the money put to good use.

Another really good turnout today, thirteen I think. Cross Bar cleaned and tidied, power connected to the first aid room, all the litter picked in the ground and the gate that was wrecked by the winds yesterday fixed....and looking very good as well!
A huge thank you to Dave Fletcher who topped up our kitty with a very generous donation. Also another donation off a supporter earlier today The kitty is now over £200 healthier than it was when I walked into the Cross Bar yesterday afternoon thanks to the three donations in the last 24 hours.
If you feel like you could throw a few quid our way (it doesn’t have to be a big donation...anything at all helps) please drop me a PM/text/e-Mail, it’ll all be put to good use.
Thank you once again to the Bob In Cafe for providing us all with breakfast buns again, as they have done every Sunday we’ve been there, it’s really appreciated by all the lads and lasses.

Re: Ground Maintenance Area
A mention in dispatches to Ryan who despite a knee injury turned up and prepared the breakfast bar for us---tea urn filled and tea, coffee and sugar etc set out. Unfortunately he got lamer and lamer as the morning wore on.
Next Exile had to sign out and go home due to his back "going". A trusty and willing worker.
I don't know if it Is widely known but BT Sports flew out to interview Ryan at home in Madeira regarding the 100,000 miles he travelled last year in support and work for the club---at his own expense. They then filmed him at HS yesterday and I think the film will be shown in their end of season review. Even they were amazed this was done for a non league club. Well we are Barrow AFC after all.
Get well soon both.
Nice to see deaf Tommy back after his recent illness. Not a life threatening one.
Was I glad to see Jonty turn up with all his cleaning equipment, vacuum cleaner, own state of the art mopping device and cleaning products. He obviously hadn't heard I had bankrupted the maintenance fund stocking us up with those items. He did a sterling job on the xbar as I find moving all that heavy furniture hard now.
Alan cleaning the toilets is another thankless task too. I fixed him up with a more appropriate pair of rubber gloves as I don't know how he had got his hands in the ones he was wearing.
The lads working outdoors were hardy souls as it was a cold biting wind. Peter the litter picker going quietly about his tasks with never a complaint--even said the blustery wind hindering his efforts weren't too bad.
Worth a mention is the attendance every session of one of the owners, either Paul Hornby or Mark Hetherington. They are keen to get opinions and ideas of the ordinary fans which is always welcome and I think to show their appreciation of the volunteer work being carried out.
A good session but as usual more work than the hours we could spare.
Ian Carruthers, aka irvj puts in the hours going down during the week to beaver away. A great asset to the squad.
Those two electricians, Whitty and Chris, are saving the club an absolute fortune with the work they are accomplishing.
There is always a warm welcome to anyone wanting to get involved. Just turn up on a Sunday morning.

We are having a short holiday over Easter in Cumbria. Will there be a maintenance day on the Sunday? We would like to pop along and help for a few hours if so.

Hang on Sefton we aren't that well organised.Sefton Aubergine wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 10:15 am We are having a short holiday over Easter in Cumbria. Will there be a maintenance day on the Sunday? We would like to pop along and help for a few hours if so.
We don't usually do anything over the holiday period due to family commitments etc. Easter Sunday is on the 21st April and we have a home game on Easter Monday. Keep watching and we will probably know nearer the date what is happening. It would be great if you could call and see what we get up to on our "missions". Thanks for the offer.
