It's in a safe place Elaine as is the plaque that was in in the disabled hut. Both in the GMV under the stand. Screwdriver was in turbo mode today.
That Ian C is a machine. I was knackered by two, he looked fresh as a daisy

Well rescued lads.
irvj as he is known by but aka Ian Carruthers is an unsung hero. He isn't on this forum---or any other social media as he is too old for it 😀---but he is at the ground working almost every day and is always ready to help in any way. He was phenomenal removing all the doors and casings in the xbar on Monday. They weren''t easy jobs as the nails must have been buried in about a foot deep.
We have some great people at our club.

I’ve just give some more pictures to Rich to put up...mainly the human (well, I say human...) side rather than just what’s been done.

Great effort by all, probably 15-20 in total. It would be nice to see some new faces though as a lot of these people have spent a lot of time down there in the last ten days.
The backing paper stripping will continue tomorrow if anyone can help out...an hour, two, half a day, it’ll all help.
My back is goosed as I’m sure are others...time for a few days away from it all I think!

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Looks ten times better already with that cage gone and the crumbling steps cleared out.

Think i’ll stick to the comforts of the Press Box with a mic in my hand and not running round with a wheel barrow 😂
Body is in bits ha,
Some brilliant work being done at the club though by everyone.
The old ground is getting the face lift it very much needs and will look years younger once all work is done

Nipped for an hour or so, lots of people working ever so hard. Full credit to them. Some sound advice on how to handle a mallet too.

I applaud every one of you. Thank you. I can't tell you how much I wish I lived nearby. I'd be down there in a heartbeat.
It all comes 'round again.
