He also played and scored for the England C team against Wales a couple of months ago - the same one Dan Jones played in.TaylorBAFC wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2019 3:47 pmI'd argue that it was far from a one-off. 18 goals this season for FC United - made even more impressive given they were relegated from the North this season. Quite certain he has left the club, too.BoltonBlue wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2019 2:05 pm
Seen him play for FCUM once, unless it was a one off he’s quality & stood out a mile on the day.

Re: Players linked thread
And there’s me thinking that someone who has been retired for 8 years was coming back to play. Has your wheelie bin scored 15 goals at this level?

Re: Players linked thread
15 is still better than top goal scorer Jack Hindle (12) got this year.
I am not saying I would have Bennett back - players returning to a former club do not always produce the goods and his wage expectations may well be higher than we are willing to pay, but it is a better record than what we have now.

Re: Players linked thread
Players returning is always a contentious subject. If I remember correctly 2-3 years back two former players turned up in PSF's. Allegedly they were offered nothing or a derisory contract and moved on. Both have played in the play-offs this week, Paul Rutherford for Wrexham and Andy Bond for Fylde (set to make his second and third Wembley appearance in the near future)
Re: Players linked thread
He might end up at Morecambe or try and stay in the league with someone else ,coming here would be seen as a backward move.Richard Ingham wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2019 6:55 pm 15 is still better than top goal scorer Jack Hindle (12) got this year.

I do not think we could afford him

Re: Players linked thread
His goals kept Morecambe up, they’d be daft not to sign him
