Not sure a signing would be withheld until after a pointless England C game - doesn't make sense. Only things stopping us announcing new signings would be a contract that runs until June or a player's holiday. Loads of time yet to sign players, when some clubs won't even sign any until June.

Barry and Brown are full backs - but yes we need cover there.

If we hope to be near the top of the league (and I think the manager does) then I can't see Brown being a first choice.

Brown and Barry are Right Full backs but with Molyneux released and Rhys Norrington-Davies back at Sheff Utd we don’t have a left back so we need more than cover

Another name in the ring;- a young left full back called Alex Brown currently playing for Buxton (same level as we got Hindle and Granite last summer) - 20 years old and just got his 2nd call up to the England C team - a former Sheffield Utd Junior - so probably known to our assistant manager.

Our assistant is more known to the other side of Sheffield he played for Wednesday

Of course to make this all work up front we need to bring in an experienced playmaker. Someone who can just make things happen and can put a pass onto a plate.... Anyone know of anyone who fits the bill and is currently looking for a club?

John Rooney is quite capable of doing just that & did so on a number of occasions. We could do with cover for him if he got injured/suspended/lost form, but i am more than happy to have him as the 'Playmaker'

Yeah I’m a Rooney fan, but with another experienced head alongside him (you know who- currently looking for a club)will give us so many options. ....Need to have the right defensive balance though.

Struggling to think of a Barrow squad at this stage of a close season that is already taking on such good shape. Players want to come here because of the way Evo plays the game. Thinking back to the close season after we avoided the drop and they were all just about shipped out. The embargo’s in the Bayliss days...no one really knowing what was going on... I really think as a club we are doing some great things, not just short term but with a platform to build something here. Every day we are hearing something good coming out of the club and there is a massive buzz when talking about the club amongst fans.

The agency he is represented by is based in Harrogate, wouldn’t be surprised to see him rock up there

I know he made a few errors early on here but I always thought he looked a decent player, the more games he got the more he improved.
I reckon Fylde have a player who’ll make them a few Bob in the coming years.
