On a slightly negative note. Was disgusted to hear some people on the popular side , making monkey noises when one of there players had the ball.

Never heard it,would have been stopped it if it happened,were you at the game?

Agreed - very comprehensive and it obviously took some time to compile.

Just a couple of small points from a great write-up pointed out in a spirit of friendliness. I think your reference to Ulverston Canal being the the longest, widest and deepest should be attributed to Windermere Lake. Also Heron Glass closed in 2006.

Wish the Shots well for the rest of the season, and hope you stay in the league. You gave us a close game.

It was nothing to do with the game. I looked over at the young lads after they did it. They were just messing about with each other. They weren’t even teenagers. There was loads of them at the end of the popular side messing about chasing girls and stuff. Overreaction

See thats what I don't like about the NL approach, you get the result and if you're lucky, how many people went.

For proper analysis you need local reports, I would like to see more folk like myself doing blogs and writing and giving readers an alternative view.

Clubs like us in the lower leagues have scant exposure as it is.

Not Lake Windermere. From Wikipedia. The Ulverston Canal is claimed to be the deepest, widest and straightest canal in the UK. (or it was at the time it was built)

Not Lake Windermere. From Wikipedia. The Ulverston Canal is claimed to be the deepest, widest and straightest canal in the UK. (or it was at the time it was built)

The dimension claims have been superseded as the Manchester Ship Canal was built to take 65.5 wide ships, and is around around 28 feet deep.
