Thankyou

Post by GTBLUE » Sat Dec 21, 2019 7:39 pm

Although we are just over halfway in the season, I would like just like to say a massive thankyou to all of you amazing people on the board in what you have managed to accomplish in such a short period. It's nothing short of staggering. I also want to say thankyou to ALL the people behind the scenes who put so much hard work in, it was beyond belief. But a special thankyou to our brilliant manager Ian Evatt. What can I say that already has'nt been said. He has brought a smile not only to my face, but to everyones.
As a fan for around 50 years, I have never looked forward to games like I do now.And I have never told so many people how good we are and get there themselves. We now have a BAFC supporters branch on the Isle of Man courtesy of my 18 month, 6 and 8 year old grand children 😂 Top of the league at Christmas with games in hand, not bad eh!
Happy Christmas to ALL at the club and fans everywhere, you are magnificent.
I need a drink now 😉

Well GTBLUE thought you had been drinking before you wrote the post :D . I was telling my brother earlier this evening that having watched Barrow since 1965 I can't recall a better time to be a Barrow supporter. Well done to everyone :D :D :D

I don't remember there being such a buzz around the club, this season so far has been the perfect storm, hopefully it continues in to the future! But win, lose or draw were Barrow through and through! :scarf:
Heaven is a place on earth, we prefer to call it Holker Street :scarf: popular side since 2002! :scarf:

Agree with everything. Bar the 50 years bit. But we’ll said. Up the F**king Barrow! We’re all going on a league 2 tour 😊

In addition to all those you mention, Graham, thanks are due to the ordinary supporters who are getting behind the team in increasing numbers; a 3,000 crowd over the holiday period is an achievable target - when could we last say that for an ordinary league game? More volunteers for the Ground Maintenance team, perhaps, more helpers for the Trust, or at the very least new regulars on the Popular Side - all have their part to play.

For once, everyone from the Chairman and Board downwards are pulling in the same direction, something that hasn't always been the case in the past. There is a positive feeling around our club; this is going to be our season. We can win promotion, and we can do it in style.

Best wishes for Christmas and the New Year, Graham.

Buon Natale from Roma to everyone, let's hope we have a good festive period! Already booked my flights for Easter , making the trip up to Halifax and then taking my two brothers along to the Yeovil game, let's hope we have in the bag by then. Forza Bluebirds.

Hi, I'm a Barnet fan who grew up in Southport and supported the Sandgrounders back in the day when both you and us were in Division 4. I remember Barrow (and Workington) - with great fondness. I really wanted to get to Barrow for the first time since the 1970s to see you play Barnet - failed last season due to the rail strike and this season due to a bereavement. Although in truth the fixture last month was a good one for a Barnet fan to miss!

Anyway, I've registered because I wanted to say just how pleased I am for you. You lost your place in the Football League due to the unfairness of the Old Pals re-election nonsense ( as did Southport who like Barrow didn't finish bottom when they were voted out). Your current success has been a long time coming but I really hope it continues ( apart from when you play Barnet next Feb!). If you can keep up what you've achieved so far this season through to next April you'll be worthy Champions.
