A lot of people want to have it both ways.

More control over stand... don't want allocated seats

Want to come into ground 5 mins before kick off... want to get to their position in quick time

People are going to have to adjust to bigger gates and the issues and subsequent control measures that brings

Exactly, If regulars turn up at 2.55pm & expect to amble in they will be disappointed, Surely common sense dictates that you allow extra time due to increased support, Get in early, secure your spot after you go and have a Pie/Pint or whatever.

So if I want a particular seat for the next home game I can go the office and book it. Fair enough but surely someone then has to print a large label to stick on the seat and then go and put it on for that one game. Is that the best use of the club's staff?

Don't think it works like that. If you are a stand season ticket holder then you can pay an extra £25 on renewal to reserve a specific seat for the season.They are the stickers you see on the seats. Reserved 19/20 with the person's name.

That's how I thought it was Nick, but a previous post (which now seems to have been deleted) suggested that it could be done on a game for game basis.

Scanner wasn't even working on nodding gate, I just got let in with no check done just had my phone in my hsnd ready,
Didn't help there was only one person working on it as well

Think the club need to start employing and paying more staff

When he scanned my ticket the scanner went red which in my experience of using them means a ticket has already been used or similar. Seemed to be doing the same for others as well but he was just letting people through anyway

Another part of our growing pains & the club will surely look into these issues & do their bit, Sounds like we need to double the number of Stewards as these growing gates will only get bigger.

Nowhere to get a pint once your in. People won't go in early as there is nothing to do apart from stand in wind and rain.

Ha mentioning Torquay always makes me chuckle about wateraid and the non opening of a beverage outlet at their spot a few seasons ago. Thankfully Torquay’s answer to Bob Geldof stepped in and quenched the Barrow masses.
They were good when we went to their spot this year the bar manager even gave us some gratis beverages for our homeward venture.

Torquay usually bring around 100/130 don't they? & as far as im aware we've never had any problems between us, Deffo do thesoft seg & Barrow fans use that HSE Can bar.

The way I see it is you have 2 choices (if you don't use the crossbar pre game is) 1, Get in early & secure your usual spot & watch the players warm up while chatting to folk under cover of the popular side "example' or 2, stand in a long line outside in the elements & you might miss some of the game, I think I know what most would prefer.

Cant recall them ever bringing that many. Normally below the 100 mark
