No need to fret over not securing 1-point in a draw. A loss and a win of 3-points is actually better than 2, 1-point draws. That's why winning your Home games is really what counts and as such will keep Barrow at the top.

Be interesting to see how a tuesday night trip to barrow affects dover for the return. I assume they're travelling on the day again? Let's get over 3000 in again for that and the dagenham game and roar these boys on.

Agree with that. They've had a great run and Evatt was realistic enough to realise they are not going to win every game.

Let's not forget that some of the chasing pack have to play each other.

To be fair, I really want us to win this league, but to be honest I am already really proud of 'you' our team and what you have already done so just for making me believe all I can say is a huge thank you, and I know no matter what happens I'll never be as proud to support you 'Barrow afc' so thank you Ian and team for 'everything' I love our town and team and Ian 'stay' and become a legend as money not everything it helps but to be remembered for ever 'wow'

I'm just back home at Portsmouth. 3 diversions off the M20 and one off the A3. Hope the Barrow coach doesn't get similar problems on their motorways otherwise it could take all night! Can't believe how we lost this match. Very poor first half but even then Rooney hit the post direct from a corner early on and Quigley hit the goalkeeper when clear through and one on one. Second half was one way traffic but so many easy chances missed. Quigley should really have had 3 goals on the night. However, our defence looked in a mess every time they lumped the ball forward which was all they did. They were very poor and really had little to offer other than hard work. This is the 7th away match I've seen and the poorest performance from players who normally are excellent. 5 players who I really rate had the worst matches I've seen them have for Barrow. Barry, Taylor, Platt, Kay and Quigley were all miles below their normal form. Hardcastle also under par. I thhought Angus did well and the 2 midfield players, Rooney and White were outstanding and completely dominated the second half. Dixon as usual was faultless. We couldn't even blame the referee who I thought was excellent (although the Woking supporters didn't). Our penalty looked very generous to me but I was in the family stand so the Barrow crowd behind the goal would have had a better view. Very disappointing performance as Dover were really, really poor and we had nothing to beat unlike the last match I saw when we got a draw at Borham Wood against a very good football team.
