Re: prediction v dagenham and redbridge home next sat
Is there any chance the game could be off with this weather as there seems no signs of any improvement
Re: prediction v dagenham and redbridge home next sat
The pitch looked good against Dover considering the weather. So if that's anything to go on then the game should go ahead.nationalman wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2020 8:50 am Is there any chance the game could be off with this weather as there seems no signs of any improvement

Will be touch and go - but so will most of their next few games, The water table at the Hive is very high. May be due to the fact that the ground I believe is built on a former reservoir. The London Bs ladies game I understand was postponed partly at the request of their landlords so as to give the pitch time to recover for tonight's game.SKIPPER wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 3:43 pmBarnet game looks unlikely. Womens match at The Hive yesterday was called off and more rain forecast today and/or tomorrow.Suffolk Blue wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2020 7:58 pm
They are due to play at Barnet on Tuesday night. IF...that game goes ahead, they'll be playing an additional 90 minutes on a pitch with a bog down the middle. They are not in a position to let any game slip so I'm sure they will go for it and try and get a result. I cannot imagine any worse preparation for a 300 miles journey north a few days later. No excuses. Must win game.
Going to play at Barnet at this time of year is pretty much a lottery. Because of the high water level, the pitch is always likely to be close to saturation. Hence why rainfall during a game can influence whether a game actually finishes. Even their fans dont know what's going to happen.
Hopefully they will play (or at least start).

…. by the way we should probably be more interested in Aldershot manning up against Borehamwood this evening.

Hmm. Maybe. Not sure they will threat this title though.Suffolk Blue wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2020 10:30 am …. by the way we should probably be more interested in Aldershot manning up against Borehamwood this evening.

Well they are arguably playing the best football and are 16 games unbeaten. Consistency seems to be the key to winning this league. Despite their apparent threat Harrogate have won only one of their last three league games. Though I agree they remain the biggest threat.
Bhamwood now have Matt Rhead up front for them in addition to Tshimanga and look pretty strong all over the pitch. On an equal footing they would be by far the biggest threat. The point we got a few games ago at their place (last points they dropped I think) is looking to be a very good one.
I'm not asking for much - just a couple of draws to make me feel happier. Clearly if we do the business it will be enough.

We are a better team. Matt Rhead seems a weird and poor signing for them. We once went 28 games unbeaten, nothing came of it ....Suffolk Blue wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2020 12:01 pm Well they are arguably playing the best football and are 16 games unbeaten. They are easily the best team I've seen us play and I'll be surprised if they aren't in the fight for the title. They are the only team I've seen us play football equal to ours.Suffolk Blue wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2020 12:01 pm Well they are arguably playing the best football and are 16 games unbeaten. You were right SKIPPER. Yet another rather bizarre postponement at Barnet. Referee deemed the pitch currently playable but not when forecast rain was taken into account. Fylde/Notts County also called off.Suffolk Blue wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2020 10:25 amWill be touch and go - but so will most of their next few games, The water table at the Hive is very high. Re: prediction v dagenham and redbridge home next sat
Surely the league has to get involved at Barnet at some point after all these late postponements?
Re: prediction v dagenham and redbridge home next sat
The league will not do anything. One team never even turned up for a match and they did nothing
