Easy excuse
I'm sure most clubs will be genuine but I think any club not wanting to play a fixture will have an easy excuse to get a game called off for many months to come. Just inform the league a player is self isolating for seven days...
Re: Easy excuse
If you fancy a week off work, this also applies.

Apparently the experts are saying it is a one off thing and won't be seen again once it has peaked.Sefton Aubergine wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 8:13 pmAbsolutely and almost impossible for any disciplinary action to be taken. They don't even know if this virus can be caught more than once, so a few weeks every year.

Re: Easy excuse
If the national league had called off all games at lunch time I would have accepted this. Because one person has self isolated in a team resulting in a game being postponed then I struggle to understand this and agree this is an easy excuse. Interesting this self isolation has only become apparent after the nl lunch time meeting when games for this weekend were given the go ahead. I can’t imagine large businesses in the town closing the doors because of one individual that works for them self isolating.

Some have suggested it could be an annual thing similar to most Corona viruses.Holkerbird wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 8:43 pmApparently the experts are saying it is a one off thing and won't be seen again once it has peaked.Sefton Aubergine wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 8:13 pm

Re: Easy excuse
Surely the point is if the player DOES have it then there is a good chance he will pass it to teammates perhaps on the coach or in the dressing room.Barrow Buc wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 9:11 pm If the national league had called off all games at lunch time I would have accepted this. Health is more important than football.
Re: Easy excuse
Wrexham bottled it they would be in drop zone after barrow beat them this league is finished now. Stop it now top two go up end of.
Re: Easy excuse
What a shit way to get promoted. Would rather earn it.
Re: Easy excuse

Re: Easy excuse
It is an easy excuse but a sensible one all the same. The decision should not have been left up to the clubs. Yes it's f***ing annoying having no football to watch, but it would be much more than annoying to pick up the virus and take it home to a vulnerable family member. I say fair play. For once, money did not rule the decision.
We hate Carlisle United, we hate Workington too (and Morecambe), we hate Accrington Stanley but Barrow we love you

Re: Easy excuse
We’ve absolutely earned it & don’t think many (apart from Harrogate) would argue if there was a decision to finish the league now which resulted in us going up.
Re: Easy excuse
Of course not. I'd hate to be that club that was promoted on a technicality.
Anyway, it's nonsense - they aren't going to move clubs around based on their current positions.
