Musical chairs when Glad All Over plays, everyone up and off.barrowfan wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 4:22 pmApparently if you are close to someone who has it, for around 5 minutes, there's a good chance you could get it, so maybe we should all move around the stand.Holkerbird wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 3:40 pm For those with concerns the decision is yours whether to attend or not. I am going. I hope the guy who sits next to me and returned from his holiday abroad yesterday doesn't.![]()

To me, the whole response to this pandemic has been shambolic from the start. It's literally been "don't panic, the risk is extremely low" to "this is now the biggest threat to daily life since world war 2". We all saw it coming when China was still allowing flights in and out. For the national League to go ahead when just about every other sporting fixture in Britain and Ireland is off makes the mind boggle.
We hate Carlisle United, we hate Workington too (and Morecambe), we hate Accrington Stanley but Barrow we love you
Re: Corona
Going to hit many clubs hard this including our. We will have budgeted for today’s game and some outlay just isn’t recoverable. Time to dig deep and help to keep our club above the bread line and play our part during what will prove to be testing times

Re: Corona
Well said Mark we will all have to help out if we can or we may not have a club to support if it goes on for months
Noto Brexit

Re: Corona
Interesting point made on 5 Live. Don't think it really affects us as most of our players seem to me on longer term contracts, but all football contracts that are finishing do so on 30th June, so you could be in a position, esp in the Premiership, where someone comes in for one of your players on 1st July and there they are gone, and not able to play the reaining fixtures should the authorities decide that this season should be extended beyond 30 June.

Re: Corona
True but it also means that we have to continue paying our players when other clubs don't and therefore we are more likely not to survive than many others. So sorry for the directors who have done everything in the correct manner in terms of long contracts and who should now be reaping some benefits in terms of our largest crowds of the season.barrowfan wrote: ↑Sat Mar 14, 2020 9:29 am Interesting point made on 5 Live. Sometimes I wonder about the legend of the 'Gypsy curse'. Re: Corona
If for whatever reason games continue to go ahead past this weekend, our game against Barnet will be postponed. They have called their game off today as a result of four members of their staff being in self-isolation.

Re: Corona
Footballers seem to be particularly vulnerable to this virus.
Hmmm.
I personally do not know anyone who has had to isolate themselves because of this condition. Does anyone else know anyone.?
