Even if the NL were to go with Null and Void the FL would still need a club and you can't really see the FL board looking anywhere else unless a bunch of scumbags in the East Midlands were to maybe come up with a very large brown envelope.

Only half the citizens of that particular place in the East Midlands are scumbags. The others who live down the road are quite reasonable. Funnily enough the ones that live down the road also think that the other half are scumbags too.

Yes remember how Kettering backed us unlike Workington after we managed to stay up when Vaughan left us and the League assumed we would get relegated as a lot of our players left .
When we managed to stay up against the odds Workington wanted us relegated down two leagues,Kettering said any relegation should only be the league below.

Thanks for that, interesting read, hopefully we get the result we want next week as well as restrictions apparently easing, which should hopefully ease the stress. The usual “barrow hidden away and cut off” did they mistake us for Greenland??

I suspect the Evatt quotes were taken before the outcome of yesterdays meeting with the story being updated afterwards to make it appear current.

I've always liked IEs tone in these interviews. He has a way of conveying his true feelings with re-enforcing the Barrow case each time he speaks. It keeps the issue in the media mindset and generally speaking gives us a positive press. Even if it were 99% certain that BAFC were going to be promoted I dont think you'd see any hint of that in Ian Evatt's attitude which is very single-minded and determined.

He expects the L1 season to be called on a PPG basis. Then a bun fight to agree on promotion and relegation, It should be added of course that Coventry City are top of L1 and would very much rather they were promoted without having to play another game.

All media articles about Barrow start off like this. It goes with the territory. Do I raise a smile when I see that turn off at J36, yes of course. Its nothing after a grueller on the M5/M6.

He is indeed right. Again however this article in the NLD has been lifted from the Blackpool Evening Gazette and definitely precedes yesterdays events.

It might have been more interesting to have captured his most recent thoughts including his long held "null and void is inevitable" view after yesterdays meeting.
