The Rotherham United CEO is also one of the sources who has been quoted as saying that the Tranmere proposal wont happen. Tony Stewart is what they might affectionately describe in South Yorkshire as a "straight talking bas*ard". Doesn't quite have the same poise and eloquence of Mark Palios (or his good lady wife). But makes his point nonetheless.

It also reflects the fact that most of the noise regarding next weeks proposals continues to come from L1. Not much detected either from the Championship or L2 - other than in respect of the Macclesfield "situation".

And more importantly, he.s rung round the other 22 chairmen and is pretty sure he has between 16 and 18 intending to vote for the FL Framework proposal and then for League One to follow the same path as league two.

In case anybody is interested, I believe that the Premier League did discuss the issue of what would happen in the event of a curtailment to their (extended) season yesterday. It's been reported that no decisions were made and that a decision would only be taken if a second COVID wave became a reality.

This means of course that the basis on which the EFL will deal with its framework on Tuesday is one where the prevailing assumption is that there will be promotion and relegation between the Premier League and the Championship. Which from our perspective is probably positive.

Has anybody read the latest statement from the Dover chairman,Ian Parmenter,that Barrow have achieved nothing and don't deserve to be promoted.
I for one who heartedly support Ian Evatt's statement that these type of people need to show Barrow more respect. What Ian Evatt has done is to create a side that plays attractive passing football, something some of the other teams couldn't live with.He has created a team and with the addition with players such as Rooney and Quigley who believe they can achieve anything and wo carry on trying right to the end of each match.
They deserve their place in Division 2 and anything else would be a travesty. I think if the season had not been curtailed they would have gone on to win the season outright .

Has already been commented on (page 100...ish?). The Dover chairman clearly has an issue with us but he does consistently slag off a lot of people including his own supporters when they dont turn up.
