Re: Decisions being made
and in a not totally unrelated story, it didn't take long for Stevenage owner Phil Wallace to embark on his new mission to undermine Macclesfield.

Here's another prediction. If Macc do get the boot, I somehow doubt you'll be hearing too much from the EFL about whether the NL will be in a fit state to take them or not.

Re: Decisions being made
Won’t be tomorrow, could easily be another 10 days. They’ll have to do the same as the EFL did, put a proposal to clubs and give them a week to mull it over then return for a final vote
Re: Decisions being made
Don't count your chickens. If the NL go the same way as the EFL what is going to happen to the clubs that are bottom of the NL South and North Divisions. Or have I missed something. The EFL could decide to run Division 2 with 2 teams short, this would then put an extra team in NL. All sorts of ifs and buts before this ever gets sorted.

Re: Decisions being made
Highly doubt itll be anything like 10 days, they need to give play off teams dates to build fitness etc, from everything we've been told today I'd say tomorrow or Thursday we will be declared a league clubHenneysKnee wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2020 9:30 pmWon’t be tomorrow, could easily be another 10 days. The decision should have been made that they follow the EFL.blue nige wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2020 9:36 pmhttps://twitter.com/Iandennisbbc/status ... 03360?s=19HenneysKnee wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2020 9:30 pm

I can feel a stitch up coming on if it's down to clubs voting

Re: Decisions being made
If there's one thing to be learned from this ever growing thread is that we rarely count chickens.West Lad wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2020 9:34 pm Don't count your chickens. The EFL have made up their minds today. They require two teams from the NL. Just like any other season. They are very unlikely to change that view. They definitely will not want to run a division with two teams short. For the sake of clarity, subject to some assurances from the NL either Stevenage or Macclesfield HAVE BEEN relegated not will be or may be - have been. There is no appeals process. From the EFLs perspective its a done deal (bar sorting out whether its Macc or Stevenage who have been relegated).
As for the NL. you need to make a distinction between promotion/play-offs and relegation. Promoton/play-offs are heavily dictated by the EFLs and the NLs regulations, relegation from the NL is not. So there could well be a lot of ifs and buts before this gets finally sorted but they should be more to do will relegation.
Re: Decisions being made
Club spokesmen on 5 Live saying tonint that many clubs in leagues 1 and 2 are going to go out of business sooner rather than later if they are not getting the normal gate-money which keeps them going.

and I think they'd end up in NLN not NL too - the same as Boston did.Suffolk Blue wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2020 9:02 pm and in a not totally unrelated story, it didn't take long for Stevenage owner Phil Wallace to embark on his new mission to undermine Macclesfield.

Re: Decisions being made
Kings Lynn’s chairman’s podcast worth a listen. NL board meeting today. NL/NLN/NLS club meetings tomorrow with announcement by Friday is his assumption.

Re: Decisions being made
Yep; that’s the next huge issue. When does the season start and how do clubs get revenue if crowds aren’t allowed......

Re: Decisions being made
North and South those at bottom won't be relegated due to the steps below voiding. Its the same for Stevenage/Macclesfield should our league vote to void neither of them would go down.West Lad wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2020 9:34 pm Don't count your chickens. Re: Decisions being made
Good listen and he sees us going up even if the NL Null and Void which could also mean the EFL may say only one team promoted in future
Thought he may have had a dig about our spat over the Grant Holt move but no mention which was good.
Re: Decisions being made
A bit harsh, all he does is mention the fact that Macc have the outstanding disciplinary issue, which is common knowledge. And he does acknowledge the fact that Stevenage are where they are due to their own failings.Suffolk Blue wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2020 9:02 pm and in a not totally unrelated story, it didn't take long for Stevenage owner Phil Wallace to embark on his new mission to undermine Macclesfield.
