Almost all of the 10 will vote for it ensure the opportunity of getting into the EFL in the future is still available to them. As they can't be relegated it's in their self-interest to vote for it and if anything is certain is that every club votes in its self-interest!Steeley wrote: ↑Thu Jun 11, 2020 8:46 pm Surely clubs won't want to push for null and void, it would further alienate non league from the EFL and give them a good reason to shut the door completely.
In terms of numbers, top 7 surely voting in favour? Add the 3 avoiding relegation that are in the bottom 4, so there is 10 hopefully
Mid table teams arguably just want it over with so may be in favour.
Not sure how the votes work for north and south, most clubs must have little interest either way?

Altrincham, Dorking Wanderers and the MP for Peterborough are getting involved seeking full clarification from the government over their guidelines for elite sport regarding the North and South Play Offs. The battles commence

Are York (or anyone else potentially involved in play offs) still full time?

Re: Decisions being made
Not sure, be a couple of rich men’s play things in there
Re: Decisions being made
I can honestly see this causing massive fallout if they don’t maintain the two promoted teams from North and South. Even if they cannot fulfil playoffs they can still settle a second promotion spot on PPG.

Reading the guidelines for “elite sport”
I think they have a good case for challenging it as well

York I believe are the lowest ranked full time squad in the Pyramid system - I think they occupy position no 139 in the list.HenneysKnee wrote: ↑Thu Jun 11, 2020 10:50 pm Are York (or anyone else potentially involved in play offs) still full time?

Re: Decisions being made
as there are 116 teams (usually) in the PL, EFL and NL Premier i'm not sure how York are 139th ranked - unless it's an alphabetical list by league?Suffolk Blue wrote: ↑Thu Jun 11, 2020 11:42 pmYork I believe are the lowest ranked full time squad in the Pyramid system - I think they occupy position no 139 in the list.HenneysKnee wrote: ↑Thu Jun 11, 2020 10:50 pm Are York (or anyone else potentially involved in play offs) still full time?

Re: Decisions being made
In real play they are 118th in the rankings of clubs - Wealdstone are on 70pts in the South so 117th, then York on 66pts top of the North
If the framework is approved they would drop to 120th
117th Wealdstone - top of the south with 2.12ppg
118th Kings Lynn - top of the North with 2.00ppg
119th Havant - 2nd in South with 1.97ppg
120th York - 2nd in North with 1.94ppg

Re: Decisions being made
So IF the NL board recommendations are approved (and I have seen that Boreham Wood are voting yes) on Monday (today if the votes come in quick enough) then subject to the usual EFL AGM which will likely happen soon after the Championship play offs are finished that'll be us in League 2 next season then.

Re: Decisions being made
Agree with Jonty.
Need to maintain 2 up 2 down to the NLN & NLS
Should be 3 down from NL so this happens.
Agree with no relegation at the bottom as all the leagues were Null and Void so no promotion/Relegation
Big Dave will give this the nod now where as before he would of rejected it.

Re: Decisions being made
They have a simple case for saying they come under the elite athletes category then. Part time teams won’t. Could get messy this. ; should have just been 3 down from National League and the top 2 on PPG promoted from each NLN and NLSSuffolk Blue wrote: ↑Thu Jun 11, 2020 11:42 pmYork I believe are the lowest ranked full time squad in the Pyramid system - I think they occupy position no 139 in the list.HenneysKnee wrote: ↑Thu Jun 11, 2020 10:50 pm Are York (or anyone else potentially involved in play offs) still full time?

Re: Decisions being made
Simply, this is exactly what is being put to the vote today........and the National League Board will announce the Champions (!!!), promotions, playoffs and relegation as soon as they have enough of the votes in........could be later today, Monday latest.......
I’m confident this will pass........and then the party can commence......
