Re: GOING UP
Need to speak with the furness premier league now try and change there saturday kick off times to maximise gate attendances need to get as many people onboard as possible. Literally have a pool of 300 lads there maybe even more that cant attend due to kick off clashes
All opinions expressed are my own , not here to cause kick off just enact debate.
Re: GOING UP
One for the veterans, how many clubs who got voted out in the old system eventually made it back?
Popular side since '03.

Re: GOING UP
Selfishly this means good news for us. If Macc stay up then they could start next season with a hefty points deduction.Jonty wrote: ↑Sat Jun 20, 2020 12:03 am Macclesfield avoid relegation to NL

Re: GOING UP
Plus Macc have to produce a business plan for approval to the football authorities by 31st July to prove that they have the financial ability to meet all of their commitments during the 20/21 season.JammyBluebird wrote: ↑Sat Jun 20, 2020 12:30 amSelfishly this means good news for us. If they were unable to do this they could still be expelled from the EFL.
Re: GOING UP
'Voted out' and made it back? As far as I know/can remember, Accrington Stanley!!.
Although I think Stanley were not voted out-I think they didn't fulfil their fixtures-might be wrong on that though, memories not what it was.
Re: GOING UP
Stanley went bust and resigned from the league mid-season. Fairly sure Barrow are the first "rejected" club to get back into the league.

"Fairly sure Barrow are the first "rejected" club to get back into the league." As well as being the first club to win the FA Trophy at both the old and the new Wembley.

Champagne? No. Sparkling Wine? No. Lager or Beer? No! I'm opening my Marsh's Sass which has been in the fridge for many a year. Don't care what it tastes like I'm 'avin' it. Well done Barra.

Re: GOING UP
Gillingham were not re-elected in 1938 but came back into the league in 1950. Quite a few others before the war. Barrow are the first to be ousted and return during the post war years.

Re: GOING UP
Barrow will NOT be in the bottom 5 and certainly won't need points deductions at other clubs... Positivity please.JammyBluebird wrote: ↑Sat Jun 20, 2020 12:30 amSelfishly this means good news for us. Re: GOING UP
The wonderful tom brownlee has created an amazing promotion party playlist on spotify for all thise celebrating this weekend - his handle is discovery_set - and the play list is called barrow afc play mix.
All the old classic barrow anthems on there. Really good listen

Re: GOING UP
Bottom 5 doesn't matter seeing as only 2 clubs get relegated from L2, plus it looks quite likely that Macclesfield will be one of them if they don't get thrown out before that. Also no club promoted to L2 has ever been relegated back to NL the following season.Sefton Aubergine wrote: ↑Sat Jun 20, 2020 12:44 pmBarrow will NOT be in the bottom 5 and certainly won't need points deductions at other clubs...
