Re: Ian Evatt
I seem to remember being at some sort of post season gathering in the old Bluebird club after Vic Halom’s side had just won the NPL. Halom was there and there was a question and answer session. After a few supporters had praised the club on the successful campaign a guy asked ‘Vic is it true you are going to Rochdale?’ Halom opened his mouth but nothing came out and Bill McCullough quickly moved things on.
It was the first time most of us had had any inkling of the connection. Halom went within days of course but his time at Spotland was not a big success.

We will foller the soccer, over land and sea...

I wouldnt be so sure ladbamber678 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 5:58 am Sky bet odds on next Bolton manager
Ian Evatt is 4/6
Sol Campbell is 7/4
Also Mauricio Pochettino is 6/4 for the man united job and 4/5 for the Newcastle job.
Wouldn’t read too much into Evatt being favourite. He’ll be sat in our dug out come start of the season

Steven Reid, David Lee and Michael Jolley all interviewed yesterday; none of whom would require compensation to be paid for........

Re: Ian Evatt
Why on earth would IE want to go to Bolton? Yes, because of their history, they can be regarded as a 'big' club, but we will be playing in the same league next season! Hardly a step up the managerial ladder for him. Best to stay put at Barrow and leave when a club in a higher league come calling.

Re: Ian Evatt
I heard that Wayne Curtis will replace Evatt - FACT
Re: Ian Evatt
I'm hearing Colin Cowperthwaite is 1/2 to be the new Bolton manager. Rumour is his assistant will be Tony Chilton.
Re: Ian Evatt
If I.E has not learnt how he was treat by Chesterfield ,Blackpool under Oyston he may go.
There is no loyalty in football or anything else.
He has learnt the new Board backed him within limitations.
He won one game out of the first seven they still backed him alot would have panicked.
If he moves to Bolton he will have to be assured of the finances .
He has proved that he can build a team with additional loand
At the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right for him.

Ian Evatt aint going nowhere yet-The truth is rarely pure and never simple but-Barrow AFC are positively thriving whereas Bolton Wanderers are plainly just existing.
The suspense for the Bolton Journalist's and fans alike must be terrible, I hope it lasts.
Their speculation on who Wanderers next manager might be is like a blind man looking in a black room for a black cat that isn't there, and finding it!.

Steve Herbert supports the nob theory - Saturday 4th February 2012.
If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.

The SwishyCow by the way is nailed on to be the "Fylde fan" - the same user name has recently joined the Bolton forum and only ever posted on their next manager thread - and got ridiculed on it. A very sad trying individual.....
Lancashire;- born and bred

Poor kid. Probably makes him feel good to hang out on the forum of EFL clubs like Barrow and Bolton. Life in the National League North will be tough on him. Perhaps Fylde should have a 5 year plan to get into the EFL - give him something to dream about.
