PH was absolutely categoric. No instalments, full payment up front.
It all comes 'round again.

At the end of the day we’re one of the most liquid clubs in league two. The facts are there laid bare for all to see. Remain calm. We’ll have them banging on the door. And when they let us in we’ll be right behind whoever is in charge with the loudest barrow roar in decades. BLUEBIRDS.

We're not desperate, we just want one of the best up and coming coaches out there, nothing more, nothing less.

That nothing is agreed and all compensation must be made in full if anyone wants him.

Barrow will have a manager or won't but will be compensated. I guess that's as cut and dry as you can get without payment being agreed.

There are only a few deluded blokes on here and I can assure you none of them are Barrow fans.

But i tell you what when a skint and embargoed Horwich Wanderers are rooted to the bottom six in League two you.ll be able to hear the sound of the [SwearFilter] being taken 60 miles away in Barrow.
You don't help your fellow fans reputation when you come out with s**t like that pal, you're little old Barrow time some of you accepted it.
I can assure you that the Barrow fans know exactly where their club sits in the pecking order of things, unlike its pretty clear you Horwich Wanderers lot who are still so bitter that Eddie Davies died before you could skim him for another 190 million was it.

And no idea why you think it's shite? personally I.ll never forget that day last season when Accy showed you how much your history counts for and look forward to Barrow doing exactly the same. There were Bolton fans in tears that day Oh how we laughed.

Bolton haven't had a good side since the days of having Sam Allardyce as manager, JayJay Okocha , Kevin Nolan, Gudjohnsen and the like. For the last 2 to 3 years they have laboured with owners wishing to sell while taking a profit - and a succession of potential owners who turned out to be either 'penniless' , or scared off when they saw the club accounts .

So this 'unstable and leaking ship' is now seeking to rectify all this by poaching a young upcoming manager who could probably do better. If he goes to Bolton and fails to get them promoted in the first season - he will be 'damaged goods' as far as further jobs are concerned .. If he stays at Barrow and does even reasonably next season ... his standing will have risen further and jobs in the Championship could well be at hand .

Now Ian Evatt is no mug - if he is /was interested in this position he will be weighing up all the possibilities ... Bolton might have been a good move , had their finances been solid and their ability to manoeuvre within the transfer market viable - however since neither of these things appears to be true - it may be a rash move - despite any attraction the name of the club might hold . The one thing Bolton do have is history ... but that is fast disappearing further around the bend with their latest demotion - take that away - and what you have left is a ghost ship.
First match : Barrow v Northampton Town : Sat. 24th Sept. 1960 ... won 1-0... ( which was nice )
