As the day goes on my gut feel for this is that he’s staying.....
- Too much uncertainty as to when things will start up again, football will be up against a whole new set of challenges as we ease back into football again. Familiarity is there with the Barrow set up, board, staff and players he knows here and at Hopwood, all will make it that bit easier to adapt.
- he’s two years into this, calls himself still a rookie and will surely want to test himself in familiar surroundings, knowing exactly what is needed to take this squad into L2
- Unknowns, too many with Bolton, big club yes, potential, yes, but they are in transition themselves. L2 is new to them too.
- Timing- on the crest of a wave here, the future looking bright, if we hadn't been promoted, maybe, but theres a good platform here now.

Well thats my thinking today! All subject to change of course!

Might be a bit of drifting on the odds soon as there seems to be an impression that Bolton are either reluctant to pay or can't. Not saying he isn't going but I get the impression that they're trying to knock us down quite a lot. We need to stand our ground regardless.
Steve Herbert supports the nob theory - Saturday 4th February 2012.

If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.

Know its going back in time but has echoes. Vic Halom swept us to a runaway NPL title in 1984 with his swashbuckling style - you score 3 we score 4.His head was immediately turned by a move to Rochdale. All went well until the chairman, that well known footy expert Tommy Cannon of Cannon & Ball fame, instructed him to clear out his highest paid players for financial reasons and the inevitable happened. A downward slide ending in him being sacked. He was so disillusioned he packed up football altogether. Judging fromm what I've read on the Bolton forum they sound as if they have several people with their finger in the pie. Evo will not have the freedom he has with us.

Think Vic Halom and Ian Evatt totally different.
Vic played and Barry Diamond was his legs .
Ian has refused to play which I was hoping he may change his mind.
He has built a team that has delivered without him on the pitch.
He has also borrowed a few good players to make the numbers up.
Next season will be telling fod him where ever he is

In the music business they call it 'second album' syndrome. You come out with a cracking debut but can you repeat it on the next one?
It all comes 'round again.

The only thing that I'm certain about viewing this thread is the club I'll take the most delight finishing above.

For goodness sake, don't judge another club because a couple of new accounts - which may have no link to supporters at said club - turn up here trying to wind-up folk!

Darren Moore doesn't feature anywhere in the betting market so you have to wonder just how far off mark the betting market is at the moment.
Remember how far off the betting market was with the last few appointments at Barrow?

True and I have no bad feeling towards Ian Evatt even if he leaves but I'd still like to finish above Bolton whether he goes or not - and lots of other clubs as well!

I agree. We should stick absolutely firm to the price in the contract.
