Says the lad acting the big “I am” on a forum. I remember going to Wembley in 1990, whole town was buzzing, this is bigger than that, as Paul Horny has already said, IE getting us into the league is like a Neil Armstrong moment, into the league cup we go, first round of the FA etc. Whatever happens, the unbelievable has been accomplished, and we should be eternally grateful for that.

I really hope he doesn’t go.still basking in shock of promotion and hoped he would lead us for a season in league 2 hopefully to help us stabilise at that level.He would then go to a higher level I have no doubt with my blessing.The fact we haven’t been able to celebrate the promotion at the ground with him and team plus back room staff makes feeling worse.Now just a few days after the highs I worry about who would replace him and back room team and will the squad be committed to a new replacement manager.Am confident the board will exact every penny due from this so called big club if they do really want him.Cannot shake of feeling of disappointment it has come to this so soon after we were celebrating.I hope he stays and I will support him.People slagging him off after what has so recently been achieved have very short memories and even less class.Lets just wait and see what happens .He can do far better than Bolton Wanderers if he stays bit longer with us.

I think it's a bitter pill to swallow for most of us who are rightly hurting, it was only last week that he was saying "no stone will be left unturned to make sure we have success" and "now were back no one can stop us!"
I understand a week is a long time in football but these comments now seem so shallow.

I'll be disappointed if he goes, but it isn't the end of the world. I am assuming he is interested in the Bolton job otherwise he would have ruled it out.

Thanks for getting us into the league and everything that has been done. I can understand if he goes people feeling it is a kick in the teeth.

I wish his well but obviously Bolton being in our league I don't wish him any success if he goes to them or any club in our league

I'll take exception at bolton having 10 times as many fans thop we will get over 3k easy next year average, they only averaged 10k last year with big away followings topping that up, another season of struggle in league 2 and they may double our crowds but certainly wont be averaging 10 times our gates or they'd be getting 30 000!

Fanbase, mate. Not on about numbers through the gates, but the amount of people that consider themselves fans of the clubs.

Been to Bolton many many times, you see far more Man U shirts than you do Bolton shirts.

They’re a similar size club to Bradford, Blackpool, Barnsley etc. Certainly not what most clubs would call big. The ground is a soulless bowl nowadays, with around 20,000 empty seats each game. Even in their Premier League days they had around 7,000 empty seats and only averaged 21,000, with 5000 of those being away fans.

In fact, back in those days, if they played on a Sunday against a top team, I’d sometimes travel through myself and buy a ticket on the day.

Having been a regular popular sider for the last 20 years or more. I can honestly say the football we have seen in the last couple of years has beem marvelous and a joy to watch. This ethos of the game has been instilled into the club by the manager. If he does leave for Bolton or whoever comes knocking next, it will be hard to take. But being honest it was always going to happen. Success at our level has to lead to bigger and better. I don't blame a young manager for being ambitious, after all he is young and has no affiliation wth the barrow area. My worry is when he goes we replace him with a" so called" lower league expert who just wants to hoof the ball forward at every opportunity. Our recent success has been good keep and move the ball football which has not only been successfulll but great to watch, well after the previous couple of years it's been an absolute miracle.
I do believe Ian Evatt to be a decent bloke who has not only helped our club achieve it's goal, he actually cares for our club and want's it to achieve great things.
However as I intemated before he is an ambitious young manager with options open to him. Obviously I don't know what's on the table at Bolton, no cash for transfers etc, but who knows what, if anything he has been promised.
I reckon good luck to him, whether he stays or goes, we will move on, hopefully with a manager who has a similar method of playing the game we all love. WE ARE A FOOTBALL LEAGUE club again options will be open for us, more so than non league. Let's just enjoy, when we can, and build a league club who can aim for higher and higher.

I had a feeling when he did that non league Radio show about creating a Barrow blue print a few weeks ago that he might not stay much longer but wasn't expecting it this soon.

totally agree, lets all get back to Holker street and celebrate THIS season, everything after is negligible, CHAMPIONS!

Looking more likely that he will go now. Especially given the silence from him. He’s done a great job to take a club that almost got relegated, rebuild a team, get them playing good attractive football to a title winning team within two years.
He’s a young manager and ambitious. Can’t fault him for wanting to take a bigger job with more money. Management can be a short career and a couple of sticky months with us and some people would be calling for his head. He turned down the Fylde job last season so has always been open to going...maybe this is the Right offer for him.

Would prefer he stays and carries on but either way he’s done a great job At the club and deserves a lot of praise and credit. People enjoy going again when in recent years watching games had become a chore.

Well said, last season was some of the best football I've seen home and away great bloke ,wish him all the best ,hope to see him in the championship in two years . lucky Bolton all the best... Please stay one more season please .
