Spare a thought for the business owners and individuals shafted with unpaid invoices and bills when Bolton went into administration last year and now watching them trying to scrape together £250k for a football manger... Be pretty [SwearFilter] off wouldn't you...

https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/1 ... creditors/

Imagine if you're the owner of carrs pasties, "we're only gonna pay you £2100 of that £6000 we owe ya, but we're gonna spend hundreds of thousands on a football manager".

Football is a shady business indeed.

That article was written 12 months ago. Is it still the case?

Not sure to be honest, I believe they're out of administration so they may well have settled most or all of their creditors partially or in full, i'm just being a bit mischievous ;)

Football is a shady business indeed.

Same as other businesses who declare themselves bankrupt only to open up under another name with the same people in charge.

That list of creditors is incredible.
I actually read that article at the time.
I went to the Macron when they were relegated from the Championship. The shelves were bare in the refreshment kiosks.
Fallen a long way. It's a shame.
However they shouldn't be allowed to steal our prized asset cheap.
Hope the board stick to their guns.
If it doesn't come off for Bolton then I hope Ian and Peter are professional enough to move us forward.
It's all been led by his greedy agent anyway....

Pay the money and you get your man....simple

Makes me laugh that that "HUGE" club Bolton are trolling non league and bargain basement players in 2020...

Who’s to say that evatt actually wants the job? Everyone is speculating because he’s odds on favourite with the bookies. Doesn’t mean anything really. If they haven’t even officially spoke to him then there won’t be any mention of more money because let’s face it as big as the name Bolton wanderers Is they are still a potless league 2 club in a worst financial state than ourselves. I’ve seen it mentioned a few time on this thread that Bolton have a director of football and from what impression I get evatt wouldn’t work well with one of them. Also having released a majority of their squad (presumably for financial reasons) it makes it even harder to get the squad you want with a DOF and add to that the fact they can’t pay a fee for any player be it signed or loaned makes it more difficult. What half decent self respecting player would go there to play in front of 20,000 empty seats with the realistic potential of sitting just above relegation. From the 2 years I’ve seen of him he’s a talented manager that would do well at any team, why take the risk and tarnish your good work just to take a job of a financially stricken club?

You come across as more of a Kenny Senior than a Brian, with the amount of BS you talk.

If I told you my holiday to Tenerife was cancelled, you be telling me yours to Fifteenerife was.

It isn’t a case of no matter what, it’s a case of if you pay the compo, he’ll go.

Bolton media saying this is a done deal, just sorting out the contract. Nothing from our end... Meanwhile, Plymouth man rules himself out.....
