I wouldn't worry too much - season will start at least 6 weeks late, and there's some clubs who won't even find out what division they're playing in for another month yet.

Unfortunately-I agree with you.
I think the stage has now arrived where this cannot be allowed to on on any longer because the way things are going with this government, the League two season could be on us sooner rather than later.
As well as taking the edge of the clubs great achievement, it's putting undue stress on a lot of fans of this club and it's also not fair on the genuine Bolton fans.

Frustrating as it is, the more time goes on the more pressure there is on Bolton to start lining up someone else. Their position becomes weaker, Paul Hornby's position becomes stronger. Judging by how long this has gone so for I'd say things are not going Bolton's way.

I think the most casual observer would form the impression that Bolton are really struggling on all fronts not least of which would be general credibility. I think the BoDs will have a Plan B in place should the worst come to the worst and personally I don’t think there is any big rush as we don’t know when the 20/21 season will actually commence.

Not sure why people think managers/players should be loyal when the football fans are so fickle.

Maybe he would've got a free pass next season if it doesn't go well with it being the first season in the league in quite a while.

But if he'd started poorly in the National League and we were lower mid table come March. Fans would be calling for a change. The club would be looking to get rid.

Last season we only won 1 in 7 of the first games we stuck with him.The mask slipped when he slagged off John Goodwin for comments he made about a game we had lost he was totally out of order.
RC made statements backing John Goodwin.
He even had a go at Adam after a game asking him Did he not think he aS up to the role .
There is not much loyalty in football .
He praised this new Board compared to the previous owners and he is rewarded us by dragging us through this twice Fylde and now Bolton.
If you listen to his interview on RC he said Oyston would not accept over a million for him which meant he lost out on money then he got injured and his contract was not renewed.

He was all for finishing the job at Barrow,maybe he will go into politics next.

I did not ask him that at all - I asked him if he felt that the players mistakes which at the time were costing results were putting him under pressure

The time frames are a little misleading. Squad retention has been good. Players have had 4 months of downtime. The marketplace will be full of overpaid professionals and clubs coffers will be empty post lockdown. There's probably a good two months before a new season starts. I would also anticipate some form of EFL financial settlement to be confirmed before a new season can start. So not a big problem just yet.

But I think it must be sorted in the next week. Gardening leave is not really an option. That would just be delaying his departure and whilst it might screw Bolton's immediate ambitions it would just invite in a host of other interested parties. Might also generate a counter claim for constructive dismissal.

This, we had been stressing for months over the decision on the league outcome. Then, we aren't even allowed to enjoy that fully for no more than a few days before this nonsense started. Like someone else has said this is just very Barrowish. Hope it gets sorted asap

If Bolton can’t pay the money they need to get lost rather than stick around muddying the waters. Ian Evatt (thankfully) is our manager until such time as another club can afford his buy out fee. Can’t believe suggestions to put him on gardening leave, he is our manager and needs to be preparing the club for the season ahead.
All the rumours, newspaper reports and social media reports are so much rubbish. Whatever game Bolton are playing hopefully it has been made clear to them this is the situation and it will not change regardless of efforts by anyone to undermine this fact.
As a previous poster said it will be interesting to see that if Bolton can scrape the money together how this would look to past creditors. Hardly a glowing reference for anyone to put money or their future in such uncertain hands.
