It went tits up for him.

Its a funny old game is football

Back to the main point, given the choice, you would all have made the same decision.
Back to the main point, we wouldn't all have done countless TV and radio interviews telling everyone how much we cared for the club, knowing that we'd already shook on a deal to go elsewhere.

Barrow fans seem to currently be on a par with AFC Fylde

Wanderers Ways, although you sound like a complete bell end and aren’t putting your views across well I do agree that I would have made the same decision as Ian Evatt. It is too big an opportunity to turn down regardless of what division Bolton are currently playing in.

I wish Ian Evatt would stay, but if he does leave then all the best to him and I hope he does well for you

Tell that to all the local businesses you didn't pay!
That was nothing to do with the current regime they can do nothing about the past that lies with Anderson he is responsible for those businesses not getting paid in full FV have paid all what they were supposed too in the terms of the takeover and since then everyone is being paid in full and on time therefore please do not bring the past in when talking about our new owners judge them since the takeover
No, of course, it's not, maybe i.m mistaken and this isn't the same Bolton Wanderers who ran up debts of 200 million or was that Anderson's fault as well ?

If you don't want to be held responsible for the actions of your previous owners the simple answer is to liquidate the club and start again in the North West Counties League.

No, I didn't think you.d fancy that.

So either your Bolton Wanderers with all the history, the millions of pounds of unpaid debt, local creditors driven to the wall and shonky owners who did everything they could to get the club for next to nothing by blackmailing people who had done nothing to the club but try to help it survive or you're a brand new club with no past history whatsoever.

So which is it ? you cant have it both ways

Spot on! Hopefully that shuts these fools from Bolton up and they crawl back to their own forum

Well said NORTHERNSOUL.

One big difference between our two clubs is that our local businesses are very much up for sponsorship, can you honestly say the same about the local businesses wanting to get their fingers burnt once again.

As I’ve said previously I’d rather be supporting a tinpot club that has honesty and integrity than a club with the previous history as mentioned by NORTHENSOUL.

I wish no harm to Ian Evatt and thank him for his efforts, but I can’t help but feel that the mighty Bolton Wanderers and Ian Evatt are a (sneaky) match made in heaven.

No. actually personally i.d have asked Bolton what the deal they were offering was i.d then have gone back to Barrow and invited them to match it and at the same time double the handcuffs payment.

That way Barrow get to decide what they want to do and at the same time get to double their insurance basically limiting my options to the top half of the championship or above.

That way everyone wins well at least everyone except Horwich Wanderers of course. But then again theyre used to being losers.

BBC RC said at lunchtime announcement by the end of the day, today. (But I suspect this thread will rumble on for a few pages yet :) )
