Its much more than a scoreboard, Its an income revenue stream, advertising, birthday messages, away travel, safety messages, etc.

Yes of course, these costs would have to be factored in, but many could be done in house, (ie the power supply, runs off 230v circuit)

Without sounding too negative. We have a huge amount that needs to be done just to get us EFL compliant and then there is a pathway to follow to the 3 year mark which is requires serious investment.

Luxury items, of which I out a score board in that category will have to wait until we are meeting the baseline in terms of facilities.

That made me think of an idea, sounds daft but could be great local advertising......Babies Dummy with with our club crest & BARROW AFC on it.....stop laughing & think, Everybody stops and looks at the newborns when out n about & each baby/toddler get photoed hundreds of times & they will be sucking on the dummy in lots of them, talking point if nothing

Trouble is, under-fives don't get much pocket money.

Obviously, But their Parents, Grandparents Aunts, Uncles, Family friends etc all do.

I’ve interviewed Josh granite a few times, interviewed John Rooney a couple of times too.

Problem I have is I don’t drive and have a job outside of the Radio as well so can only really do interviews of a match day.
By the time I’ve done my post match stuff the players have all headed off home so hard to grab them

I’ll be trying to do more player interviews this season though

Some moaning in here I get the sense off, I think we are vastly underestimating how much this new level of professionalism on match days will vastly improve the quality of a match day , the attraction of the big teams and big teams stadia for away days. Professional levels of stewarding so incidents of the past wont happen again. Think how fast it should be to get into the ground using the ticket only method instead of being stood in a huge line outside the ground potentially missing kick off. Go with it it wont be smooth be bumpy on the way but we will get there.

I'd like to see one as maybe part of the projects it could be set up to be able to turn around to face the road after games and have adverts on for local businesses that pay for the pleasure would pay for itself over time

The one at Barnet 5m x 1.5m- comes in around £15k, with all controlling software etc. A good advertising revenue stream. So if theres a fundraiser,.......I’m in for that.

Adam's idea is better mate, compromise place it on a swivel at the wilkie rd corner of the crossbar roof, This way it can rotate during games so its visible to all inside the ground then position it to swivel so its visible to Walney Rd & Wilkie Rd....Best of both world's

Ermmmm who’s idea???? Iv not suggested anything! If a scoreboard was to go anywhere in the ground it would be on the crossbar wall
Anywhere else would require planning permission and a heck of a lot more hard work for the club
