Let's just see what happens.

Sounds an interesting managerial duo and I'm looking forward to seeing what they can do given they've got reasonable contacts and experience.

Successful coaches and managers always start somewhere.

Fatty Dunn is more of a figure of fun to Burnley fans, especially as he apparently used to support them as a lad. Hate? Now that would be Simon Garner. Unfortunately if it is Dunn, I'm not convinced he is the man to take Barrow into the league after 48 years, a huge, huge risk to take. Where has it come from, if he is the man the BOD immediately identified, you have to ask why, what made him the standout candidate and why has no one else seemingly been interested in him?
Far as I’m aware he’s always been a Blackburn fan,(May stand corrected) he used to get a lot of stick during games, of course then Burnley were a pretty awful team and had been for about 25 years, one year they had to smuggle him through a back door Turd Moor coz he was being threatened after something he said in an interview. I concur on Simon Garner he of the plane banner incident.
If it’s Rob Lee with him that will negate some of the doubts I might have, as has been mentioned is a time served assistant judging by his CV

Young Manager with an experienced assistant, perfect appointment. Great contacts between them and will know a lot about the current squad.
Looking forward to our next chapter. :scarf:

Trying not to count chickens as they may turn out chlorinated, but if it is Dunn, and if he was the target identified almost as soon as Evatt gave his notice, I assume IE would have recommended him to the Board and would be confident he can continue in the same style of football.

Or maybe like his hero Ferguson recommends someone who he knows will make him look even better.
Brett Ormorod bigging up Evatt and saying not sure about Dunn, more of a coach rather than a Manager in Blackpool Gazzette.

I thought he was a big accy stan fan when younger? Remember he was at a cup final we played at Morecambe against them? Presidents cup or something like that.

Sat in the grand stand with a tenner on fishing line. Pulling it away when people bent down to pick it up. Hope he's matured since.

Still. The Board have credibility at the moment, so we must trust them.

Dunn has been shown round our training base at Hopwood Hall today.
The BOD are obviously going down the similar route as we did with Evatt being an up and coming young manager who hopefully has fresh ideas and likes to play expansive football. If it is Rob Kelly who is going to be his assistant then his CV speaks for itself and they could be and hopefully will be a fantastic duo to help us push onto the next level

Possibly, he lived in Great Harwood I think so in between blackburn and Accy. Don’t know about nowadays but back then, accy was watched as a second team by Rovers fans and a few Burnley thrown in to add to their small band of diehards.
Let’s see what comes out of this because I do have reservations, I’m not totally against his appointment by any stretch though board must be ready to get rid if he looks out of his depth.

It's the same account that posted about Evatt and Bolton, so whilst it may not be affiliated to the EFL in any way I wouldn't dismiss it out of hand.

Listening to the video I doubt very much if he's matured!

They post things based on comments made by people like Alan Nixon

He most certainly hasn’t agreed terms yet and won’t be announced today as the post claims

Do you mean the Slaggy "backdrop" 😄
