Agreed. He looked in a bit of a blur, as if his brain was still catching up with what's actually happened. Hopefully once he's settled in a bit he'll give a better (more relaxed) interview.

Likewise on the club youtube interview with Adam too - I'm really hoping its nerves/excitement etc as he didn't come across all that great to be honest. Think he could do with working on his personal confidence and inspirational words - felt a tad of the 'little old Barrow' creeping back in.

All that said, its what he achieves on the green stuff that matters.

Yeah that’s all it is, an interview. Sir Alex came across in interviews like he’d necked half a bottle of scotch before hand, didn’t do to bad in the football side of things though..

I hope the “little old Barrow” mentality this doesn’t come back, that’s what will hold us back.
Some don’t recognise it and get miffed when I bring it up, it’s there in the background waiting in the wings.

Let's judge the man on what he does at the club and on the grass, not on his media techniques. There is no doubt that IE was very good both with a microphone and in front of a camera and whether he had benefitted from some training in that area, I do not know, he may be a natural. However, we have moved on quickly from there and I look forward to the club announcing the next set of appointments. As SB has already mentioned in another thread, the role of DD's assistant is an absolutely crucial piece in the jigsaw.

All he said is that people we'll be the underdogs next season in a few games. When you look at the stature of Barrow against some of the team's we'll face and the fact we're newly promoted then he's not wrong.
