Never understand this old players crack bring them back crack holt and harrison ect. Dont forget williams has had his chance in the higher leagues fluffed it and at present is part of a relegation squad
Holt was an old man when he came back and Harrison had been ruined by injured and had failed at 2 NL clubs so it's a completely different situation. The fact that he's in a relegation squad makes his 15 goals even better and the fact that people would rule out a former player is just as stupid as the fact that some people would re-sign any former player!
Errrr williams failed at rochdale then failed at fylde To which fylde got relegated cant if he was that good he would have kept them up.

Dream on. 15 goals is not a failure esprecially in a poor team.

Mate we are rising a league the lad was at rochdale and did nothing , so what if he scored 15 goals did he score those 15 against the top teams or cannon fodder

Actually scored 13 goals. and two off them against kingstonian and was bought for a 100 000 the maths and figures don't add up for me there Im afraid its a no from me poor yield for price and lets be fair that fylde team had other high quality players around him and still got relegated you dont go back and buy your old car again 5 years later also add to the list of shit sentimental re hires dan jones.

Yes you mean a blonde idiot who oversaw 60 000 deaths and said people who wear face covering look like letter boxes.
But then he has never worn protection

He also scored one of those goals against Sheffield United.

Nick Anderton was good second time round, as was Matt Platt. If a player is good enough, it doesn't matter if they've been here before or not.

Jordan Williams would be a good addition to the squad, even if he wasn't a guaranteed starter.

Walker and Cook weren't half bad either.

Oh and Paul Jones.

Also expecting some signings today (the end of the week) should be an exciting Sunday.

Not sure any of these NL ex players would be suitable even though they might of been excellent in one or two seasons they were here - at NL level. For me we need young hungry players with a point to prove who perhaps who haven’t quite done it a higher level, supplemented by some young Championship loans with a smattering of league 2 stalwarts.
We should probably give 95% of NL players a wide berth also.
In this depressed market all of this is entirely possible.

Yes what happened with that? Am sure the club said at the beginning of the week there would be an announcement about 2 new signings at the end of the week.

No, Paul Hornby said on Tuesday "within the next week or so", not 'by the end of the week'. IIRC.
It all comes 'round again.

I think it’s natural to think of players who did well for us and against us after they left when talking about rumours. For me Williams would be a good signing Kay isn’t the natural left midfielder he was sometimes played as (in my opinion) so JW could fill a berth there. It’s been said many time’s aswell Jones did well second time round so it’s not always negative.
Also I don’t have an extensive knowledge of players on our radar and I don’t actually believe a lot of people do that pretend to either. That will grow hopefully the longer we stay in the league but right now my head and others will still be stuck in the national league for a while especially while we get the ground up to standards.
