New Roof

Didn't see any heaters on the columns in that electrical sketch there. Most pubs have them now in the outdoor areas so I hope they were just omitted for clarity.

People complain for years that there is no roof on the HSE, and when one goes up they start moaning about heaters. Perhaps you want carpets on the floor as well.

Good idea. Would keep toes nice and cosy. Would you recommend something like a berber twist for durability, a cord for simplicity of maintenance or a shag pile for a touch of luxury? Presumably wool might have to be avoided as it can smell when wet and there's usually one game each season when there's a bit of drizzle.

Bit confused here (not difficult) is it intended to put some seats under new roof for away fans until/if main stand extended next season.If so and view from some is restricted a discounted price tke could be sold so fans are aware and can make choice of sit or stand.

I'm sure we can discount them to £25 each for away fans.

The views for away fans seated will be absolutely terrible if they are placed over there. They will have standing fans next to them. It may be better to they place seats in the corner on the arc of the terrace, but then they will be out in the open, but at least they’ll be able to see the pitch!! (Talk about putting away fans off a future return). Of course we shall need to provide appropriate shelter and viewing for any wheelchair users as well don't forget.
The reason for away seats going over there is not to do with segregation in the main stand whilst viewing the game, it is to do with maintaining segregation if the stand is required to be evacuated quickly. There is a timescale to be able to evacuate safely do this and we cant do this and maintain segregation as home and away fans would need to use the same mainstand east side stair well. Sounds ridiculous i know, but them’s the EFL rules apparently. ...I was thinking a new stairwell down to the the pitchside, mirroring the one by the home dug out, could perhaps be a solution to assisting in an evacuation scenario only (for home fans), whilst still allowing segregation and away fans to evacuate the stand using the east side stairs. Matchday Segregation could be made by taking out 3-4 columns of seats out of action and using segregation netting that you see at other grounds.
No scenario is ideal and as someone mentioned, the club will need proper long term solutions for the Steelworks End and the Main Stand if we are to become an established league club.

Have just passed the ground and the Holker Street End is really looking the part.

I agree it is a quandary about where the away seat are to go... They have to be under cover and won't be behind standing away supporters so I assume they will be put in a section between plinths as close to the goal as the away part of the stand extends to. It makes me wonder how much of the stand the away support is getting because it is only the central sections where there are no restricted views of both goals from front to back of that section.

They have one summer to sort out a huge amount of stuff to make us compliant so we can actually be allowed to play football.

People worrying about away fans views when the club will be spending close to a million quid on ground changes. Mental!
