Re: New Kits
Kits a kit as far as I'm concerned and they could be far worse.
Reasonably priced so I'll probably get both.

Re: New Kits
Isn't that the problem?
There'll be plenty of people who'll buy one whatever it looks like, which is good, and plenty who'll buy this years because it's so special and historic. But there'll be a section that WON'T buy a top if they don't like it - with a more balanced and thoughtful design you may have managed to hit all three groups and maximise sales. I don't think anyone is going to buy that top who otherwise wouldn't, specifically because of the design. But i think there may be people who WON'T buy it specifically because of the design, who with a nicer design would.
Re: New Kits
It's all personal preference though isn't it? You say nobody will buy it based on the design but that's just your opinion. I don't like the football at the top of this page - looks like it's been cut from a Billy the Fish sketch - but someone clearly values it's aesthetic. Don't get me wrong, this kit's not going to go down as a classic but that's not to say it's without merit. Plus, in a few weeks nobody will really give a [SwearFilter].Ste Story wrote: ↑Thu Jul 23, 2020 9:43 pmIsn't that the problem?

Re: New Kits
Course it is - but i think with something like this you want to try and hit the broadest spectrum of "personal preference". It's clearly a marmite kit, but I think alot more could have been done to get a nice classic design that would hit all target markets. Its our first football league kit in nearly 50 years, it'd be nice if it would "go down as a classic" tbh.Alhosk wrote: ↑Thu Jul 23, 2020 10:30 pmIt's all personal preference though isn't it? I've also not suggested anywhere that any of what i've written isn't my personal opinion, it's kind of obvious when writing on a football forum that the things people write are their own personal opinions... but do you think honestly people will buy that kit purely because of the design that wouldn't otherwise have bought one?

Re: New Kits
Will we have to have "Black Lives Matter" patches on the sleeve? For replica shirts will this be optional (or can they be un-picked,and removed)

Re: New Kits
Don't mind the home kit , but would like the shop to do the retro shirts .
Like the white kit 71 , blue kit 68 , and both our trophy wins kits these would sell very well with the younger fans and make a good profit for the club .
What ever kit the team wears hopefully the team will do the badge proud in all competitions this year

They’d probably be poor replicas and look pretty naff, in all honesty.Philipino doctor 61 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 24, 2020 5:01 am Don't mind the home kit , but would like the shop to do the retro shirts .

Re: New Kits
Don't think they can. Shirts and training kit have to be supplied by the current kit supplier.Philipino doctor 61 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 24, 2020 5:01 am Don't mind the home kit , but would like the shop to do the retro shirts .

That's why clubs always have a fire sale of any surplus merch before they switch supplier.

Re: New Kits
I've never bought a shirt before so need some sizing guidance from aficionados, particularly in light of the club's comment that this year's are a 'snug' fit. In real life I'd normally head for a large. I'm 6', 42/44" chest and not too much of a paunch. What do you reckon? XL or would be 2XL be safer?
It all comes 'round again.
Re: New Kits
Not keen but hopefully will shift a load to the kids.
Anyone over the age of 30 wearing a replica football top should have their hard drive checked anyway.

Re: New Kits
Tell ya what GTBLUE-I would have liked a shirt (blue) based on the one from 1967-68 strip. Brought up to date of course!.

Must have been something you said!
We're all supporters on here. Let's leave the negative comments to the away fans
Re: New Kits
In my experience those that write such comments as those above are the ones that need their hard drives checking most!!
