Re: New Signings Rumours
Joe Nuttall was well thought of at Blackburn during the L1 promotion campaign, he was not a regular but always put a shift in when called upon. Scored a few for the U23. I genuinely thought it would work out for him at Blackpool. Clearly not. Would be a top addition for us if true.

2 excellent free kicks there from Barry Baggley - not come across him before today, but has a wand of a left foot according to reports. If this rumour is true it may be that having Bobby Burns here helped as they will most likely know each other from the NI youth set up.

Nuttall supposedly cost 750k and only moved because of the deal Dunn as an agent got him There's been a lot of chat about him over the last 12 months on AVFTT some say he.ll be a 20 million pound player others say he wouldn't get in the blind school team but the question you need to ask yourselves is if he moved for 750k what wages will he be on and why just 12 months into a 3 year deal would he want to give that up for what BAFC could realistically pay for him.walney rock wrote: ↑Mon Aug 24, 2020 10:03 pmNot much love for him from Blackpool supporters & seen a few comments with regards to Dunn being his agentSKIPPER wrote: ↑Mon Aug 24, 2020 9:52 pm https://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/spor ... nn-2005568
Presume this is the lad in question and DD's comments then may be illuminating.
A seasons loan I could see but a permanent deal not in a cat in hells chance.
Re: New Signings Rumours
Nuttal was signed for An undisclosed fee. Believed to be £2.3 million. Grayson never gave him a chance and opted for hoofball up to gnangduillet I would go as far as to say he may be the best striker we have ever signed if we bag him. #gulp

Curious this one...with this high profile striker coming to us as an understudy for Quigs?

Re: New Signings Rumours
Seems he was rated at Blackburn but didn't live upto expectations at blackpool but still youngish, also his goal scoring record isn't very good and most pool fans don't rate him from what I've read on there forum.I cant see us buying him for what blackpool would want for him plus I bet he is on around 3/4k a week maybe on loan but I don't think he offers what we need. I would personally like us to sign andy cook either permanently or on loan if possible he has scored goals everywhere and is proven in league 2 and even league 1 level, Nick Maynard would be another player I'd like us to sign good record played all levels offers experience and a free agent was released from Mansfield

Re: New Signings Rumours
While us fans love new signings I would rather have two quality players in rather than four mediocre players especially if they are targeted where we short namely upfront and creative midfielder.I think Nuttall ticks a lot of boxes and given DD past relationship with him he might just be able to get the most out of him.He might only have scored twice in league one but the fact he played nearly 30 games last season tells you something,it would make him one of our most experienced guys .If we can afford him then even with DD arm round his shoulder we might have a special player on our hands.

He might not be coming in as an understudy, it might be to partner Quigs? Could be a potent attacking/goalscoring threat for usWintergreen wrote: ↑Tue Aug 25, 2020 9:40 am Curious this one...with this high profile striker coming to us as an understudy for Quigs?

Re: New Signings Rumours
I'd say he would be a massive gamble if a fee was involved with his poor goal scoring record yes it has been said he has the ability but he is yet to prove it maybe take him on loan to see what he is likeBroughton Fan wrote: ↑Tue Aug 25, 2020 11:39 am While us fans love new signings I would rather have two quality players in rather than four mediocre players especially if they are targeted where we short namely upfront and creative midfielder.I think Nuttall ticks a lot of boxes and given DD past relationship with him he might just be able to get the most out of him.He might only have scored twice in league one but the fact he played nearly 30 games last season tells you something,it would make him one of our most experienced guys .If we can afford him then even with DD arm round his shoulder we might have a special player on our hands.

Nuttall cost anything from 500K to 750K and as such I can only see him coming on loan.NORTHERNSOUL wrote: ↑Tue Aug 25, 2020 1:46 amNuttall supposedly cost 750k and only moved because of the deal Dunn as an agent got him There's been a lot of chat about him over the last 12 months on AVFTT some say he.ll be a 20 million pound player others say he wouldn't get in the blind school team but the question you need to ask yourselves is if he moved for 750k what wages will he be on and why just 12 months into a 3 year deal would he want to give that up for what BAFC could realistically pay for him.walney rock wrote: ↑Mon Aug 24, 2020 10:03 pm

Coming on loan is a win/win situation for Blackpool as it saves part of his wages and puts him in the shop window for a future move or recall.
The majority of fans who like him reckon he's just short of confidence and will come good.
The majority of fans who don't like him reckon he's lazy and can't wait to get rid.
