Nuttall is nailed on, as is beggle, please excuse my spelling, but trust me there done deals, we'll be fine this coming seasonBroughton Fan wrote: ↑Tue Aug 25, 2020 11:39 am While us fans love new signings I would rather have two quality players in rather than four mediocre players especially if they are targeted where we short namely upfront and creative midfielder.I think Nuttall ticks a lot of boxes and given DD past relationship with him he might just be able to get the most out of him.He might only have scored twice in league one but the fact he played nearly 30 games last season tells you something,it would make him one of our most experienced guys .If we can afford him then even with DD arm round his shoulder we might have a special player on our hands.
Love many, trust afew, but always paddle your own canoe ! My spelling is gash

Re: New Signings Rumours
I hope you're right bud, do you think it would it be a transfer or a loan move? Could be the marquee signing I/we had been hoping for.Barrowabc wrote: ↑Tue Aug 25, 2020 1:44 pmNuttall is nailed on, as is beggle, please excuse my spelling, but trust me there done deals, we'll be fine this coming seasonBroughton Fan wrote: ↑Tue Aug 25, 2020 11:39 am While us fans love new signings I would rather have two quality players in rather than four mediocre players especially if they are targeted where we short namely upfront and creative midfielder.I think Nuttall ticks a lot of boxes and given DD past relationship with him he might just be able to get the most out of him.He might only have scored twice in league one but the fact he played nearly 30 games last season tells you something,it would make him one of our most experienced guys .If we can afford him then even with DD arm round his shoulder we might have a special player on our hands.

Re: New Signings Rumours
I bet there is better free agents with better records than nuttall so I can't see a fee being paid as they would want to recuperate alot of the transfer fee they paid for him so I can see a season long loan deal
Re: New Signings Rumours
There will be free agents with better records than Nutall - but there will be bigger clubs than Barrow looking to snap them up!Walneywanderer1979 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 25, 2020 2:38 pm I bet there is better free agents with better records than nuttall so I can't see a fee being paid as they would want to recuperate alot of the transfer fee they paid for him so I can see a season long loan deal
On paper, and based on how highly-rated he was 18 months ago, he'd be a very good signing for this level.

Exactly - that's why it would be a coup to sign him.Walneywanderer1979 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 25, 2020 3:10 pmSo if he is ment to be that good then there will be bigger clubs than barrow wanting to sign him

Re: New Signings Rumours
If and when they sign they will be Good Additions. Doesn't look like Crosdale is going to sign as apparently unsure weather he wants to leave Fylde.

We've bought 2 players so far - one was Platt. Sometimes you have to pay to get that bit of extra quality in.whitty1969 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 25, 2020 1:07 pm Theres that many free agents out there and players looking for clubs we really shouldn't be paying a fee for anyone

Re: New Signings Rumours
On the Joe Nuttall rumours,
From Blackpool's point of view it makes sense to sell the player with 2 years remaining on his contract and re-coup at least some of the likely £500,000 they have paid, and that would free space on their wage bill, alternatively they could hang on to him, pay him and likely get nothing back transfer-wise.
From JNs point of view he would link back up with DD - they seemingly have a close relationship and in all honestly not many clubs have the ability to pay a fee for a player except us.
Despite the COVID situation this club has more financial clout than its had at any time in the last 50 years, this doesn’t make us wealthy just in a better situation that many many other teams. We need to take advantage of that while we can. Joe Nuttall would be an excellent signing if it comes off.

We aren't suddenly going to be spending six figures on a player though. Can only really be a loan deal.EABluebird wrote: ↑Tue Aug 25, 2020 4:52 pm On the Joe Nuttall rumours,
