Didn't I read somewhere that Josh Lillis had signed as goalkeeper coach and back up to Dixon?

Penfold our wide probably had his best game for us, tidy on the ball & not giving it away much, Looked like he’s out a bit of beef on as well, Hope he develops into a threat this season.

Who do we play next?

Derby game in 2 weeks time eeck

I'd imagine most games will be scheduled away to cover if our construction work ran over

Considering the large percentage of what will be the starting 11 only played 30 minutes, including the likes of Kay and Platt making their first start, I am not as worried as some on here. The problem again appears to be strength in depth because to be honest, given the reports that numerous players would be free agents due to covid clear-outs, the standard of our triallists has been poor. The only one to impress me so far has been Younger who has looked very solid.Of the new boys Gribbin as already mentioned not living up to his build-up. Missed a glorious chance pulling wide with his left foot when the angle for a right foot shot was much better. Also like to re-iterate comments on Penfold. Certainly looked happier and more effective today in a deeper role. A striker to complement Quigs I think has to be the main target.
Still early days and to repeat one of footballs greatest cliches you don't get any points or titles for 'friendly' victories'

The Team we played in the first half would not be good enough in the Northwest Counties.
I remember platitudes from one of our infamous Manager Norman Bodell,we are back and need to stay here.
The defence looks good Platt,Jones but certainly no midfield and apart from Quigley,Angus and James who else have we got.

Thing is Accy are doing exactly the same and as they haven't got a training ground and are using the new Hub community facility [ problem there is there is public rights of way over it ] So was wondering if they might play it at Hopwood ?

I see our friends from across the bay are being held at ht by our friends from up the coast, and have had their keeper go off injured, and I thought Saturday was all doom and gloom for us
