I'd say the reason people are expecting more signings especi a striker, is because if Quigley gets injured/suspended where the hell are the goals coming from?Jonty wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2020 1:44 pm I dont know why some are expecting many more signings. We are a keeper or two short. Sort that and offer Jack Hindle a contract and there’s your core squad of 20. Perhaps one or two loans, but cant see many more additions. No one raving about any of the trialists we had in.

Probably because Dunn himself has said he needs to bring in players...Jonty wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2020 1:44 pm I dont know why some are expecting many more signings. We are a keeper or two short. We also wouldn't be trialling players in various positions if he had no intention of strengthening those areas.
At least 3 outfield players will come in before the window shuts, for sure.
Re: New Signings Rumours
Harrison Biggins from Fleetwood is a target, according to people on Twitter...
Re: New Signings Rumours
Well on that basis we need to get two more keepers in where we are clearly light. He’s got the core of his squad there including 4 strikers. Add Hindle there’s 5. Any more coming in now will surely be loan cover, at least up to the next window. As for goals, Luke James, Angus, Penfold, Hardcastle, Kay, (Hindle possibly) takes your pick. One or more of these needs to step up and be returning double figures next season.Paulmichael wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2020 1:52 pmI'd say the reason people are expecting more signings especi a striker, is because if Quigley gets injured/suspended where the hell are the goals coming from?Jonty wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2020 1:44 pm I dont know why some are expecting many more signings. Looking at playing 2 games a week most weeks.
Squad will be about 24 or 25.
Expect a couple more signings then 3 or 4 loanees

Re: New Signings Rumours
Squad is limited to 22 unless you have any under-21 homegrown talent.
Connor Brown has been offered terms as has Josh Lillis as far as I’m aware!

Does Biggins signing rule out Danns getting a contract?

Hope so! Biggins looks a much better prospect. 24 years of age and made 23 appearances in League 1 last season.the ray wilkie stand wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2020 4:39 pm Does Biggins signing rule out Danns getting a contract?
Re: New Signings Rumours
If you look at most clubs you tend to have 2 players per position so ideally you need around 22. Means we have cover and competition for places. 11 games midweek? Plus cup games so we do need extra players to help the squad. Some of the midfielders might be cover. I think we are definitely a good striker short

Re: New Signings Rumours
I'd say the last thing we need are 2 more goalkeepers. If Lillis has already signed we'd need none and if he hasn't then we'd need one. No club at this level needs to carry more than 2 goalkeepers. If either of them gets injured, a club is always allow an emergency loan for another goalkeeper.Jonty wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2020 2:27 pmWell on that basis we need to get two more keepers in where we are clearly light. I agree. I think another decent loan striker is the top priority.LCBAFC40 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2020 4:47 pm If you look at most clubs you tend to have 2 players per position so ideally you need around 22.
