Re: Fans Returning to Stadiums
WTF - everyone is going to get it, everyone gets a cold or flu every year, all Covid19 is a pretty bad case off flu thought of by the Chinese. I have been stuck in my house now for 5 months, lost my job, with no interaction with anyone apart from when I go for a weekly shop wearing a face mask, in the 90+ temperature it is not comfortable,I have to speak with my wife every day. The first time for years I have not had a cold or flu but have a hideout and have drunk awful lot of beer. No vaccine is going to save us, hate to say it, those who do die are the old, fat and sick. Open the ground, if you are worried, don't go. I'm 66 later this month, feel fit(ish), have no major problems, if I was in Barrow, I would be at the front of the queue to get in to Holker Street
Re: Fans Returning to Stadiums
Agree with this! My missus got it at the start of lockdown (nurse working in Manchester hospital) I tested negative twice. I’ve been back at work for about 12 weeks and weekly covid testing for the past 5 weeks. I’ve had A cold for the past 2 weeks that cold and flu tablets haven’t shifted but I’m still testing negative for covid. Everyone is going to get some form of cold or flu in the next few months over winter. Just be a bit more cautious and hygienic when you go out so we can all get back to the new normal!LDBF wrote: ↑Tue Sep 08, 2020 10:56 pm WTF - everyone is going to get it, everyone gets a cold or flu every year, all Covid19 is a pretty bad case off flu thought of by the Chinese. All this nonsense for a virus with a 98-99.7% recovery rate. Ludicrous.

Re: Fans Returning to Stadiums
Not really sure about nonsense, but!!! IF EVERYONE did what they were supposed to do, could mean the end of the cold/flu annual virus. This is the longest I have ever been while I have been in Belize that I have not had a cold (locally called flues). Unfortunately we have 18-25 year olds who feel they must go and party - us 66 year olds couldn't give a [SwearFilter], long as I can get a beer (from my fridge) I don't care. Got another crate to go in the fridge, see you laterAugustusCorpa wrote: ↑Tue Sep 08, 2020 11:10 pm All this nonsense for a virus with a 98-99.7% recovery rate. Ludicrous.

Sorry mate, you feel I am I stupid, feelings are probably mutual. Say something to prove I am a stupid (apart from the word stupid)Bottleofsass wrote: ↑Tue Sep 08, 2020 11:19 pmStupid.LDBF wrote: ↑Tue Sep 08, 2020 10:56 pm WTF - everyone is going to get it, everyone gets a cold or flu every year, all Covid19 is a pretty bad case off flu thought of by the Chinese. Re: Fans Returning to Stadiums
You have very much missed the point LDBF. It’s not about individual cases and how you suffer or don’t suffer depending on your age, general well being, or how you cope with the problem on a personal basis. The danger is catching it, and then passing it on to all and sundry because of recklessness and selfishness. The others who catch it from you might well need hospitalisation, and then the system becomes overloaded, the medical staff can’t cope, and others who need ICUs for different reasons can’t be treated properly. It’s a major worldwide problem, it’s not imagined. There is a responsibility for each and every one of us to continue to be considerate and unselfish.

Yes, I do understand that - BUT - we are all going to get it, same as we all get a cold, we all get a cold, we all get the flu, there is no way that anybody is not going to get it - but does that make me stupid? I have been in lock down since 24 March (when I was made redundant due to the pandemic), I have done everything I have been told to do, I do not have visitors, I don't feel I am being reckless or selfish - whenever I go out (once a week/10 days to a local supermarket) I wear a mask. I see and hear parties, who is being stupid. I still would go to Holker Street (12,000 mile round trip) if the officials gave me permission, though am very glad that I (we) have iFollow

Re: Fans Returning to Stadiums
I’m not suggesting that you are stupid, or being reckless or selfish. There definitely people around who are. A lot of younger people appear to think that the whole thing is over, and they appear to no longer be capable of behaving responsibly, or giving credence to the safety of others. It’s not just happening in this country, but all over the world. They will be the first to complain if there is another lockdown, and/or no job to go to. I’m not keen on the government’s jingoistic “don’t kill your granny” idea, but the ethos behind it is sound. I’d say “don’t risk putting anyone else in danger". If we all did that by definition we’d all be personally better off as well. I’m looking forward to going to HS in October. It’s a risk, but I’m trusting that the club will have things in place (like at Cambridge last night) such as temperature checks on entry, one way systems, wearing of masks. It’s a big ask, and if people don’t adhere to the rules set by the club it would not be wise to continue to attend. I wish you well in Central America.LDBF wrote: ↑Wed Sep 09, 2020 12:29 am Yes, I do understand that - BUT - we are all going to get it, same as we all get a cold, we all get a cold, we all get the flu, there is no way that anybody is not going to get it - but does that make me stupid? Again hearsay... You've not been, you don't know. Clearly you have a gripe with the rugby like everyone and everything else. Shall we not clog the pages up and bore each other? I'm not expecting an answer.PerthBluebird wrote: ↑Tue Sep 08, 2020 9:58 pmNobody was contacted apart from a poor statement online people could have been in contact and have been walking round unknowing very poor. Cases? Poor track and trace, so how did they know about the person who attended but tested positive? Active imagination.

My sister was one of tens of thousands who have died of Covid. A perfectly healthy 36 year old beforehand. So yes, your attitude is stupid.

With the government about to announce no more than 6 people can meet up for social gatherings indoors and outdoors where does that leave football as fans will not be allowed to return
