New Signings Rumours
Re: New Signings Rumours
Gives the Bolton News an exclusive interview and they thank him by revealing details of his transfer. Unless it's his agent trying to get his name out there, of course.

Reckon we have a big enough squad already.
Should we be bringing in more players in the current climate? No income to pay players and if Bolton cant meet his wage demands....Can we ?
What if we go back into a national lockdown and all football ceases again....
Just my thoughts....

Well the comments on the article speak warmly of the Head of Football...

Strange one this; desperate for a striker not a centre back. Unless Platts going to be out for a long time?

Reading between the lines of Evatt's comments he seems to be saying "Well don't look at me. I didn't invite him back here and I've never really wanted him in the first place". Makes you wonder how many of those players choices are actually Evatts picks.

Bolton can easily meet his wage demands. He would be a very low earner compared to several they've already signed. Either Evatt or the Head of Football at Bolton doesn't want him although looking at their forum most weren't too worried about keeping him when Bolton started signing players but they now think he's better than the central defenders that have been signed.whitty1969 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 7:43 pm Reckon we have a big enough squad already.

Re: New Signings Rumours
Be nice to get an injury update off Dunn when the next round of interviews take place this weekend. This new media manager gets plenty of content out there but asks very safe questions for me.russell_anderson wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 7:08 pm I would have thought a central defender was the last position we needed unless Platt, Brough and Ntlhe are going to be very long term injuries or we intend to sell somebody. Even then, we have Jones, Beadling, Hird and Wilson and even Taylor and Brown at a push.

He doesn’t respond to them - plays them back with a straight bat - I’ve asked him in every interview since the start of the season. That’s his call at the end of it not all managers like to talk about injuries to keep opposition thinking on who is available and who isn’t

Re: New Signings Rumours
It’s DDs choice as to how much information he gives away (or doesn’t) as Adam says it keeps the opposition guessing
If this latest one is true it does seem very strange, we seem to have more than enough cover defensively, I’d rather see any spare cash going into strengthening up front.
I would think it’s more likely his agent alerting other clubs to his availability and using us to speed up an offer from somewhere.

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
