Re: Carlisle United vs Barrow AFC Match Thread
Good to see Brough back, surprised Kay isn't starting, No Zouma seems odd (on the bench at least). Probably only Platt and Kay from being our best team.
And on the 7th day god created football
Re: Carlisle United vs Barrow AFC Match Thread
The only straight swap for Kay would be Brown but he doesn't deserve to be dropped.
Popular side since '03.
Re: Carlisle United vs Barrow AFC Match Thread
Zouma probably not up to fit match fitness yet that why the Leeds game on Monday night will be useful for him. I'd put Ntlhe into the mix for our best team when fit
Re: Carlisle United vs Barrow AFC Match Thread
Yeah...Brown has played well in Kay’s absence but Kay is the superior player. Despite Brown playing well, we lose an attacking threat with him LWB. Defensively he’s probably better so I can only think that Dunn is setting up to not lose.

Great to see Brough back, hopefully we are a few goals up & Brough can go off after 60/70 mins & Kay comes on for Brown, Just so we don't rush these lads back & possibly tweek something.
I agree Ntlhe would deffo be in the starting 11 or at least on the bench.
The History books will make for great reading if Carlisle were our first win back in the league.

Not very Barracelona though is it? Proof again that DD's inclination is to build teams from the defence rather than the attack. I'm not actually being that critical as that is a pretty orthodox way to go and may result from a realization that you cant play the Evatt way and expect to win each week. Hope it works.

Or he might think the same but doesn't want to knock CB's confidence by dropping him. Imagine getting MOTM playing in 2 different positions which aren't your natural position then getting dropped for a Derby game.

Looking at the warm ups it looks like a 4-3-1-2 formation for barrow

Good to see Brough back. Squad looks much stronger with him and Kay back. Hopefully Platt won’t be too much longer and we can find that elusive (loan?) striker
